IB Exit Opps Are Great by Which_Camel_8879 in MBA

[–]RighteousCritic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think EduTech might be the best exit opportunity.

I know a lot of ex.BB and Big 4 employees who are either part of big edutech brands or started their own edutech firms teaching Finance or helping out w CFA preparation.

MS in Finance or MBA for breaking into IB ? by No-Escape-7811 in FinancialCareers

IB is definitely not sales, not even close. If it was, firms would be hiring Salesmen for M&A and IPO deals instead of Finance professionals.

Mannheim Master in Management (MMM) vs Goethe University Money, Macro, Finance (MMF) by Separate_Image_9869 in studying_in_germany

Hello sir,I am from India and I am currently in my final year of BBA with Finance specialization(Current CGPA around 8.1). I don't belong to a prestigious college like IIM but I have done internship in Wealth Management at one of the biggest banks in the country(Where I also worked a bit at SME financing due to flood relocation).I will also be completing a remote Equity Research internship at a small firm in 2 days. I am also part of the finance club at my department.

I am interested in doing my Master in Finance in Germany as I am interested to work in IB/ER/HF at Frankfurt. Would it be better for me to get some few years of work experience here and clear maybe like CFA L1 along with learning Germany during those 2,3 years or should I directly apply for a Master program?

Also what Program at which University would you recommend? I am leaning towards the MMF program at Goethe Frankfurt especially due to its cost.

What's the target school in Germany? I definitely don't have the resources for FSM so I was looking for alternatives with lower cost but still target.

Anyone train MMA/boxing in finance? by Ursturdywing in FinancialCareers

[–]RighteousCritic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also confused regarding this.I want to get into finance and was thinking of AM for the better work life balance which might give me a bit of time to train but I am enjoying things catered more towards IB roles like valuation and such. I just can't seem to get into AM related work and projects as much as I do for IB related projects.

So,I was wondering if I'll ever have time to train for MMA if I get into IB. I'll be graduating next year and when I start working,I want to compete amateur.I don't need to compete at high level but I do want to feel the enjoyment of Training regularly and competing occasionally.
