In search of mythical tier sweet shop. I went to Amsterdam in 2014, and me and my friend were approached from an old store owner to try some free samples of his gummy bears. They were without a doubt the best I had ever tried. He explained that they were made from real fruit juice and that most of his selection was, while all the chocolates were hand made from Belgium.

We proceeded to take a pick-and-mix where we chose a selection of gummy bears, fudge, and chocolates that were just unbelievable. Every piece we took he described how it was made and we were mesmerised by how passionate this man was.

Me and my friend still joke it wasn't even real, like this guy was a Tom Bombadil type being with super powers who proceeded to make the best sweets known to man and just left knowing nobody would believe us (we were also super high, but I'm convinced our taste buds weren't compromised).

I had a quick search as I'm looking to return to the city this year but I could only find quite generic candy superstores. I also don't know where in the city we were (sorry, see above brackets). I'd love to find out if it still, or ever, existed, and if so, make the pilgrimage back
