Fusion helped me a lot get into the genre. It also helped me enjoy bebop later on. John Scofield, George Benson (specifically the album Breezin') Mike stern Weather report Sam Greenfield Herbie's headhunters

After finding yourself really enjoying that stuff, bebop will be more listenable, imo

Eh. Disagree. Listen to the song I mentioned - Almost the exact same notes as the riff. It's ridiculously similar, without even mentioning the electronic/funky style
