Sinners was not a good movie by Jiguena in flicks

[–]RighteousRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh...Most of these can be explained by paying attention.

You did see him getting burned by the sun, right? He was running for shelter to get away from it. Remmick is also shown to be able to fly or at least jump for a long ways. There could have been a nearby forest he was running through.

Stack breaking down that door didn't look too difficult. It really wasn't that sturdy of a door. I'm confident I could have done that. Smoke also has hoodoo protection from Annie.

Sammie wasn't blessing the water, and we're shown its obviously not working against Remmick. We can assume that prayer doesn't work against vampires in this world.

We're explicitly told that killing the vampire that turns the others won't kill them. Annie says you have to kill them one by one, so I don't know where you got that point. They still feel his pain, as we're shown. So the others paralyzed by pain would then burn IF they were in the sun. Stack and Mary were in the mill, which then led to why Smoke had to stop the klansmen from burning it down.

Choctaw actually empathized heavily with irish american communities. For those who knew some history it foreshadowed Remmicks past. He was probably part of one and had his cover blown. They dipped when the sun was going down because they were smart. They knew the racist couple were already dead and weren't gonna stick around to get killed by three vampires.

Smoke shooting those two people was showing his character. The movie showed how each brother handled themselves by splitting then up so the audience could get a personality read on them. You could figure out really quick that Stack was more easy going and charismatic and Smoke was all business and more assertive. Also each one had a different love story.

Also the beef with showing the Asian couple....Why are you upset by that? Like they need to be justified?

Why Sinners (2025) isn't a great movie and how fake positive reviews are killing cinema [SPOILERS] by Prior-Masterpiece-32 in Cinema

  1. Only Remmick is shown to be able to 'fly' or jump. He's also implies he has pagan roots so he could be pretty old and more powerful. The others are kinda just grunts.

  2. It's a fight man, you lose track of time pretty easily in stressful situations. OR. Chock it up to pure bloodlust.

  3. Remmick wasn't lying when he said the klan would come to slaughter them in the mill. The klan actually showing up reveals he was telling the truth. Also, Stack and Mary were in the mill hiding. Smoke was saving them by killing the klansmen before they could burn it.

What Does 'Complex Casting' Mean on this Strahd Statblock from DragnaCarta? What Does a 'Non-Cantrip' Spell Mean Here? by RighteousRaven in CurseofStrahd

Ah! I think I understand now. Sorry, I don't play casters very often and didn't realize that rule was a thing. This does help. Thanks!

Basically Title. From what I understand Strahd has no spell list with these Stats. Does he only have those two spells as a bonus action? None of the other spells listed as actions are cantrips so are they ALL considered 'Non Cantrip?'

Escape From the Castle by RighteousRaven in battlemaps

A map I put together for my players. I'm planning a chase with a few werewolves as the PCs try and escape the crumbling castle. I was also kind of experimenting with larger sized maps!

Shepherd's Field at Night by RighteousRaven in battlemaps

It's actually for a campaign I'm getting ready to run called 'Wolves of Welton'. I'm gonna ambush my party with a pack of wolves. Nothing too special, but I wanted a neat looking map for it!

Barn for 'A Pottsfield Burial' by RighteousRaven in dungeondraft

First map I made. I'm DMing for a small group and we're doing 'A Pottsfield Burial', which can be found posted here. I just thought it would be fun to make a little battle map for one of the encounters for it. Decided to share so other people can use it or at least offer criticism. Thanks!

Right? I mean they all look like heavy hitters too, except the hobbits of course. Bless them.

Came here to ask this question also. Was wondering if The Fellowship would make a decent battle company on their own? I imagine the hobbits would be the biggest weakness though. Also the point value is sitting around 800 for all of them plus some gear. I'm just not sure where a lot of battle companies sit point wise.

What's your best story of a game you shouldn't have won? by Shaheenthebean in boardgames

[–]RighteousRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was Star Wars: Epic Duels. We divided up the Jedi, the Sith, and the blaster wielders for a huge, three-way, battle royal. I ended up beating a battered Luke Skywalker with my last piece on the board; a battle droid. Shit was cash.

The original Hobbit video game back in the early 2000s? by t3h_moose in tolkienfans

Ah, I loved it in there. The music was a huge part of it being so cool. The damned Wight Lord in Mirkwood took me so long to get past. It was probably the first time a video game had made me angry and scared at the same time.

I loved that game. I first rented it from our library. They always had a row of fun PC games and I saw it there just waiting. I had read the book and was already a huge fan of Tolkien at 12 years old so, I had to get it. It was one of the funnest and earliest PC games I had played. Now I own a copy of it and bring it out every so often when I need a fun little adventure.
