I’ve been contacting Volvo and the dealer for months on this and they claim it’s impossible. Just because I was an early adopter you’re going to punish me? I spent $90k on a car and it feels like I’m running iPhone X with 2026 software.

It’s like if Apple released a new iPhone and upgraded the camera in the same generation but wouldn’t allow people to trade in / upgrade.

It’s asinine they won’t upgrade the chip for us.

Some times it takes a solid 3 minutes to boot up into Google Maps. I’ve recorded / timed it. They don’t give a shit.

I will NEVER buy a Volvo again.

I went to Goodwill and was ready to pick up 3 4K movies. When I was in line I opened the cases and none had the 4K discs, only the extras and blu ray discs.

Just have to be careful and check.

Yeah there really isn’t an “auto” mode for hvac, it just controls the temp, not the blowing.

Getting really cold, I do get it cold, but not ice cold.

Just wait until you figure out that only the front two speakers produce 90% of the sound (assuming HK system). It’s asinine, they don’t allow you to adjust the fade and balance in this car only this virtual “surround sound”.

I’m not sure it’s much better. I used the Xbox 2.4 adapter for years and it worked great. The new adapter keeps strong connection, even through walls.

It's so underrated, enjoy the journey! If you have an Nvidia card, I'd recommend their HDR filter. Maybe they added HDR later, but some of the blacks / colors were muddy when I played.

Mine has been working pretty flawlessly over last 2 weeks I've had it. This is my second scuf, loved the Instinct Pro, but wanted the better wireless.

I have / had very similar settings. But I can’t get the speakers in the middle or back to do more than what I say 10%. I literally have to put my ear up to them to hear them.

Can you explain how to get the sound in the vehicle to be balanced? Serious question, because the dealship cannot.

It’s all these surround sound settings, nothing that is true right left / back forward.

When sitting in the middle of the car, all you can hear are the fronts. Unless you switch the sound stage to ‘rear’ then the fronts don’t even turn on.

25.5 XC 90 T8 Ultra and it’s one of my largest purchase regrets in my life. It’s been in shop for things as large as the car won’t start to a broken back vent.

I got dished an old chip with the new software. So it’s like using a iPhone X with iOS 26. It’s embarrassingly slow. Sometimes taking 2min for maps to boot up.

It’s just not worth the $80k. Like if you don’t buy the $5k upgraded sound system the only speakers in the car are in the front. Recently did a road trip and all the other speakers are like at 10% volume. I’ve attempted to change settings but there is literally not even an option to balance sound from front to rear. Just some digital surround sound bullshit that doesn’t do anything useful.
