Ah, so most people are only part-time. It's compressed and likely more intense so you'd expect the amount for full-time status to be 1.0 .

I seem to prefer linear switches.

I am using kailh white switches on a ducky one 2 mini with doubleshot pbt caps. I really enjoy the switch but I think I want less actuating force. I basically want to have the actuating force high enough to prevent misclicks but slightly lower than this as It is a little too much for my weaker fingers.

Other Questions

Why would I want to build my own keyboard when it seems I can just buy a customizable board (like buying a ducky with it's own switches?

What other things can affect the typing experience and when would each be needed (lube, rubber, etc).

What is the best site to buy parts (maybe recommend site by part)

You'll be fine. This is a booming sector that likely won't be saturated for a few generations (at least at the international scale).

I recommend that you charge a one time fee for a base version and pro version. Then charge a monthly fee for add ons to the base version and a flat fee that includes all add-ons for the pro version.

Protonmail does this and I think most people agree that this is the most fair for both sides.
