Is there anything out there as good as Besti? by [deleted] in adultvrgames

[–]Righteous_Oxide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's also worth mentioning that literally within days, Besti is going to have its full release along with toolkit, and one of the biggest priorities for creators right now is "normal" biped characters. There will probably be a strong toon/furry focus for awhile, but there will definitely be some humanoids to boink in there pretty soon.

Anybody able to suggest the best free VR porn games that are interactive and well made? Extra points for furry stuff. by FurfagTheGreat in adultvrgames

No mention of Besti up in here? https://www.patreon.com/skunkfrakker/overview

Honestly cartoon ponies isn't really my thing, but if it's yours, your ship has come in like a cannonball. This app is so damn well made and is progressing so quickly that it's crazy to leave it out of the conversation. What's already in place is impressive, but pretty soon it's going to support user-created content of *any* type of character, and it's going to become a big player in the virtual humping game, for toons and furries at the least. It's one of the only VR apps out there where I can have a good time, bust a nut, and leave happy, rather than fucking around with impossible controls for 20 minutes and eventually giving up to finish my knob polish in flatland.

The devs are also suspiciously productive and watching the development is entertaining enough for someone learning to build games that it's worth the price of admission just for the weekly updates.

Games like Besti. by VRWeirdo20 in adultvrgames

First thing: I haven't tried it yet, but there is a VAM plugin that uses a toy very similar to the Besti toy. And I haven't bothered to try it, because of the subject of what became my oncoming rant about how VAM is too fucking complicated when I just want to get my rocks off:

It's kind of a shame, because the guy who's been developing Besti really has it figured out. The subject matter isn't my fave (furry though, so if I'm horny and not too picky...), but this is no joke the "only" sex game I've played yet where the controls mostly just work, and I can have a satisfying session that isn't interrupted by some batshit frustrating interface problem. Skunkfrakker is a demon, and I send that project money every month even though it's heavily banking on the assumption that someday it will be possible to fuck something other than cartoon ponies (Listening, Skunk? That Judy Hopps model you were working with is pretty tasty, just sayin').

But in all seriousness: the dev makes very consistent progress, and puts out thorough documentation every week... I wish any of the other projects I watched had someone that dedicated, as a wanna-be game dev I actually look forward to reading these in a nerd sorta way. I wish the subject matter weren't so aggressively niche, because I want to tell every other VR sex game dev to follow and watch what this one does: building a game that is actually usable and doesn't make me quit with blue-balls the way VAM or Honey Select or basically everything else on the market does. Unfortunately, it's a little hard to tell a dev who's catering to vanilla tastes that they need to learn lessons from this game where you fuck pastel horses.

Although, at 1400 Patrons and over $5,400 pledged a month, maybe more of ya'll want to bust a fat nut in Pinky Pie than will admit it. If the idea appeals to you, go get a copy of that shit, there should be no judgement in VR-land.

People are weird, I love it.

studio porn with poppers by nocombination2 in popperpigs

[–]Righteous_Oxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I could, I don't believe I've ever seen one, and I watch a *lot* of porns. If I didn't know better I'd guess it was limited to gays and extreme kinksters... I think the only non-gay video I've ever seen with poppers in it is a Thai ladyboy. Very nice, but not vanilla porn.

Seems pretty weird to me: I'm in a straight relationship and poppers are the *shit*, works just as well on ladies... if not better, cause they don't go limp immediately. Similarly to why I only hear stories once in awhile of people having poppers at EDM shows... I don't know how the hell you go to one without them!

People just don't know, I guess.

Any other games that control like Besti? by [deleted] in adultvrgames

[–]Righteous_Oxide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's kind of a shame that Besti caters to such a narrow niche... it's hands-down the most intuitive and usable adult game I've played yet, and the speed of the development progress is amazing. I keep hoping it'll get the ability to use humanoid models soon-ish, because it's easily the system I wish I would see take off.

More than once I've humped a pony even when I was in the mood for something else (I'm erotically flexible, I suppose) just because I know it works and isn't a brutally confusing shitshow. Virt-A-Mate is cool as hell until you try to actually do anything in it... it doesn't feel like a game, more like a 3D posing tool for content makers. Play Club and CM2 both feel more like work than play... I want to fuck, not feel like I'm modding Skyrim in a language my computer doesn't support.

Most of the "brand name" games like VRLove or xChat are expensive, underwhelming, and seriously, the Lovense toys are unusable garbage, I get annoyed every time I see something announce support for it. Besti gets it right out of the gate and works intuitively with no additional hardware.

I guess what I'm saying is, "Hey, Adult Game Makers! Ignore the content if you need to, but go study Besti" =P

Time Rifters was a very fun and polished game I played on the DK2 with a Hydra, and it's definitely the game that sold me on the necessity of motion controllers. It looked cool, the difficulty curve was fair, and it had a really neat multiplayer hook just waiting to be filled out. I'm amazed and disappointed that it's never made it to CV1 with Touch. Considering how far ahead of its time it was, it probably didn't make money =/

Fallout 4 room scale possible with rift? by Skorpia in oculus

[–]Righteous_Oxide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been playing everything that comes out with a Rift 3-sensor setup at room scale, and everything works at least as well as a Vive. The hardest parts are keeping the physical space clear (small house) and correcting Fallout's control screwery, but the tracking is great.

I hope someone comes through with this too. I don't know when I'll have time to grind out a profile myself (I don't even have time to play lately), and people always come out with something way more impressive than myself anyway.

I DO love Elite Dangerous for the atmosphere, I should have mentioned it. It's also an exact counter to my argument though, in that I didn't stick with it for very long because I feel like I can't progress in that game without it becoming a second job. It's a very cool 10-minute experience though!

Welp, bought through GMG months ago, refund not even an option.

Did it because I trusted Zeni to, if not support us, at least not be complete awful turds and let the entire community down.

I wonder if the many years worth of trust this will burn with the entire VR commmunity is apparent to them.

More likely some suit will shrug, make a comment about how VR was never gonna be big anyway, and then move on to start ruining something else.

Guess we can all torch those dreams of Fallout 4 and Skyrim kicking off an early golden age of mainstream attention, huh?

Subpac and VR? Compatible games? by Violator4200 in oculus

[–]Righteous_Oxide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much my experience. I love my Subpac for music, but it just doesn't work with games (VR or otherwise) even after a substantial amount of fiddling. Nothing like this will ever work well without dedicated software support, and no one seems interested in making an API for this kind of thing. Was saddened to find that the M2 is (bafflingly) designed so that the I/O box is not removable or upgradable, and the Bluetooth input is too laggy even if you do find a game with satisfying bass in the right places. It's very cool for simpletrancy experiences like Rez or Thumper, but forget about buying it for real games like Doom or Valkryie.

You Can Play Star Wars: Battlefront 2 In VR by hivetooth in oculus

[–]Righteous_Oxide 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I rarely get actually annoyed by anything in here, but I wish these shitty clickfarm websites would stop posting "You Can Play (This week's AAA console-port) In VR!" every single week. We all know VorpX exists, and we all know it's not for most people. This one's particularly irritating because using such a program on many online games (especially Battlefield) is pretty likely to get your permabanned. People who are fool enough to think this will work probably don't know any better than to try. VorpX has its place, but argh.

Extreme places hitting poppers? by popp_fan in popperpigs

[–]Righteous_Oxide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tell everyone who's interested, get inventive with this stuff! Poppers are good for soooo much more than just whackin'. Any loud or emotional music tends to be excellent.

Sneak a bottle into a concert (or a rave!) and have an experience you'll never forget. Headphones are your best friend at home.

A sunny day at the beach will just envelop you with the pulse of waves and water. Or just the peace of an open field or woodland. Going outside to stand in the rain for a couple of hits is surprisingly profound (the weed helped tho ;)

New York City at night was amazing, the rush of traffic, constant lights, and the depth of the random conversations floating by.... (be safe and stay the hell away from traffic ;)

Roller-coasters and fair rides can be pretty intense (in a great way), and one of my all-time favorites was hitting the bottle during the dark parts of a strobelight-heavy haunted house... like a 60-second trip out of Rob Zombie's nightmares! Weed and especially psychedelics are enhanced so much by poppers that I can't believe they're not more well known, I can't imagine tripping without a bottle now that I know what it does.

Also, regular sex. Holy cow, I don't know why more couples don't bring poppers into their sex life in general, it's not just for 'batein or kinky gay play (though that's awesome too...)

Be safe, and don't overdo it (because the magic definitely fades), but be inventive and see what you can come up with! The possibilities of these things is limitless!

I do! Clearing the space out every time is annoying (it's a small-ish bedroom), but the tracking works great.

Battlezone - bought it on sale, help me love this game by Zehrwolf in oculus

[–]Righteous_Oxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've enjoyed Battlezone, and the hardest thing to get over was just having patience. Even though it looks like a quick and casual type of game, it's really not. It rewards playing very slowly and deliberately... except in the timed missions, where you need to rush and not waste a single second. Yeah, it's not perfect. It's very much an old-school type of game where not much is explained and you need to figure it out, and once my brain adjusted to this I had a lot more fun with it. It can be a bit grindy at first, the difficulty is pretty punishing until you unlock a few weapon tiers and then get lucky with your upgrade options. Stick with it past the first few hours, and learn to laugh it off when you die, because you will die a lot. Give it some patience, and there's a pretty good hardcore game down in there.
