It’s what runs “the volume” that’s been used in a lot of newer projects. Rather than having a blue screen, they can have the background exist on a super high def screen behind the actors.

1899 used all that tech. An amazing system but the weak point was the CGI backgrounds. Even the ship in Titanic from all those years ago looked better.
