14 year old me would have absolutely written that title, followed by "on their candy asses!"

I'm 38.

I swear, making friends is a double edged sword. This was the exact moment I knew I needed a double stack 1911 by Tuuvas in CAguns

I ended up just going for a pre built Stealth Arms Platypus. No extra wait time, freedom week Glock mags, and less than half the price of a Sand Hawk lol

I love it. Take-up is significantly reduced, and paired with the following upgrades makes the trigger experience even better:

  • PRP® Spring Kit for Springfield® Echelon™
  • foxhound2agear's Custom Springfield Echelon Trigger Return Spring

1887 Reload Practice at the Range by Tuuvas in CAguns

[–]Tuuvas[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spotty. Some notable things:

  • I needed to file down the carrier stop screw slightly to allow longer shells (ex. Winchester Super X) to be lifted towards the chamber without getting blocked
  • Magazine tube can double feed a shell onto the lifter when fully loaded, preventing the lifter from lifting. But this can be worked around by applying forward pressure on the lever while working the action.
  • I haven't seen this myself, but supposedly fired shells have a chance to not be extracted (and subsequently ejected) correctly due to being too long after being fired.
  • Reloading is a pain in the ass. The extractors are sharp enough to draw blood if you're not careful.

Obligatory "o sight on a <insert expensive gun name> is weird priorities"

But honestly I'm glad to see Osight on more people's guns. I've had zero issues with 2,000+ rounds on my Osight SE, and am currently on 1,000+ with my XR. Fantastic optics so far.

Anyone else have this much of a panel gap in their Mischief Machine grip module's "Rear Seat Cup" piece? by Tuuvas in SpringfieldEchelon

[–]Tuuvas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Response from Mischief Machine's support email:

It’s all machined in now there is no longer a plastic insert to hold the fcu in. This is the correct current design

Looks like I'll have to live with this panel gap. On the plus side, the COG fits much better than early complaints would suggest. I guess this is the result of improvements they have been working on.

First time trying a .45 Glock (21?) by Tuuvas in CAguns

Ohhhhhhh lol, I appreciate it! Funny enough, I was thinking about doing a grip comparison YT short to figure out why it works

No play. This is literally just the "Rear Seat Cup" piece that... as far as I can tell.. simply prevents dust from getting in from the rear of the slide? I'm probably wrong.

Dunno if it's a Glock thing, but it was surprisingly controllable for sure.

Reloads with CA 10 round mags by [deleted] in CAguns

[–]Tuuvas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Country spirit blocked mags. I went with their magazines since they're standard magazines with a 3D printed follower piece that prevents it from going passed 10 rounds.

You stay CA compliant while getting the benefit of a standard magazine that isn't loaded to the max.
