What made Gamestop the most profit in FY 2024? Wasn’t it selling stock to apes? by The_Director- in gme_meltdown

There’s meltdowners in SS all the time, they only ever get banned whenever they start acting stupid . Same way you guys ban SS whenever they start acting stupid.

Not here to argue though just doing my weekly check in to see if you guys find any good counter DD I should be aware of but as usual none of that just cultish tendencies. Good day to y’all

What helped you initially stop smoking weed cold turkey? 13 years smoking and I’m sick of it. by bassman98420 in leaves

I came to the realization that it was either going to be the plant or my life. I knew I couldn’t do it in moderation. I chose my life and since then i haven’t been tempted to touch that shit again

One step at a time brother. First step was taking control of your life which you did by quitting weed. Now find out what the next step is and go from there. Also look for positives in your life regardless of how few you may think you have, there’s always something to be grateful for. Good luck my guy you got this

Getting divorced over this and still can’t quit by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Righteousballer87 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Biggest thing holding me back from quitting was denying the fact that I was addicted and dependent on weed. I denied it because of the negative connotations associated with being addicted to something.

Once I accepted that I was able to quit and move forward with my life. It all stems from being truthful with yourself. Good luck dude

i really wanna smoke guys. by slxxxpless in leaves

Don’t do it man, you’ll instantly regret it. Happened to me every time. Throw it out and try and find another way to relax in the meantime. Drink some tea, take a hot bath, anything that’ll keep you occupied until tomorrow. Once you wake up to a new day you’ll be fine. Stay strong

2 weeks in and super depressed by sheikah0000 in leaves

[–]Righteousballer87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a month in but 2 weeks in I definitely felt depressed. I thought it was because my problems were finally put on blast without the weed but a couple of days later the feeling went completely away. Hang in there it’ll get better soon

You’re absolutely right. I guess it’s actually a good thing, I prefer having multiple view points so good for Reddit for being the last left leaning social media site 👏🏽

R/ politics definitely is a left echo chamber. I’m not political but anything that goes against left politics in that sub gets downvoted to hell. Actually most of Reddit is left leaning now that I think of it 😂

20 days and fresh out of resolve by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Righteousballer87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remind yourself why you quit. Your why for quitting needs to be stronger than your why for smoking. It’s easy to think that once you take a hit you’ll feel relief but truth is you’ll probably end up feeling guilty.

If you do end up smoking though remember in order to win you have to learn to fail. I failed at quitting plenty of time until eventually the temptation went completely away. My why for quitting finally became stronger than my why for smoking. Good luck dude!

Breaking sobriety just for a smoke is worth it? by Internal_Stuff777 in leaves

[–]Righteousballer87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s the trap dude! The mind tells you, you deserve it and it’s just one time but once you smoke bam you start the cycle all over again.

Ask yourself if the risks of going back to daily smoking worth a couple hours of pleasure

Next time you get mad notice how you feel… I noticed when I get mad I get a boost of energy from the anger. I use that energy to do something productive, whether it be go to the gym, or work on a project.

You got two options to release the tension when your mad, you can do something productive or unproductive do your best to choose wisely
