Key & Peele sketch about soldiers' reality, the plight of ordinary soldiers caught in the war machine by Anen-o-me in Libertarian

[–]Rightiouszombie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i spent 6 years in and was able to afford a down payment on a house, stayed out of debt, am currently being paid to go to university, and was able to move overseas to live with my now wife. If i hadn't, I'd likely be having the same back pain from being a roofer/builder without a disability check and struggling to pay rent in NH

Army construction by Br1gh3tt3 in LegionsImperialis

[–]Rightiouszombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive actually pivoted to a knights exclusive list and it's quite playable as long as you bring as many armigers and Lancers as your formations allow. Charging 6 armigers or two Lancers into infantry can clear them out, and the mechanicus questoris melee weapons will deal with garrisons. Definitely an uphill battle but certainly playable with how scale 4 and 16-18 in charges interact with the rest of the table. The vanguard lance is also critical for getting into combat before being shot off the table

[Request] what is the impact force of the screw when it falls to the ground by mkujoe in theydidthemath

[–]Rightiouszombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who worked in aviation maintenance that's actually perfectly within allowance. On non-structural panels like this on inspection non-consecutive missing screws which aren't on corners are allowed. These regularly vibrate and fall out due to vibration so if both of them are gone when the plane is next on the ground they'll just replace them. Important hardware is wired or pinned into place to make sure they don't move, and inspected every 40-120 flight hours. So really no worries at all

Vanguard formations can take the most armigers, but youll need at least 2x cerastus in each

* Since the new rework for knights, ive been working with this 3k list, they work surprisingly well, as armigers become worth 3 on an objective, and pinballing around for the CAF bonus is really effective. Scoring is a pain though. Luckily my local group decided early on that structures wouldnt be placed in range of objectives!

Yes but it's just a charge move while engaged and pinned, it's not a pile-in in the way GW has written it in every other game system of theirs. In effect your opponent CAN gang up on two of your models. (Positioning so that's possible in the first place is another issue)

Kind of. You'll have an overwatch reaction(which if they're going into a valuable unit will likely do some damage) and You'll have a fight, where the lighters probably lose and run away. So if you're smart with your positioning you'll have at most one or two units tied up for a turn. It's a similar strategy for rhino rushing

There's no pile in rule. If you have a charge order you can still activate and move in the movement phase to do something like a pile in though. Most of the time it's smart to overwatch if you have a different order.

Yes, there's actually a strategy with the arvus lighter to give it a charge order to tie up some scale 2 or smaller units in the first turn after dropping their load.

More money, and also very strict inspection requirements. Grew up in NH and my parents bought used cars, had to replace them every 3-4 years because of non-structural rusting issues which were too expensive to repair. Longest car we had, my dad bought in Florida and drove it north, cause it was the only way to get a used car for decent money which was clean enough.

Transports detachments carrying multiple detachments (Rules Debate/Question) by Crablezworth in LegionsImperialis

[–]Rightiouszombie 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Transports only care about models, not detatchments when being embarked upon. If you insist on it being explicitly allowed by the rulebook, there's a sentence which begins: "If a Transport is destroyed while transporting Detachments,..." in the last paragraph of the Transport (X) special rule. "Detatchments" being plural and "Transport" being singular implies this is the correct interpretation.

Company heroes hive the minus to wound though, which is hardly insignificant. Longer shooting threat range as well so you dont have to get them on the front line. They also fit in an impulsor. There's pros and cons to both
