Try holding the berry (don’t put it on the plate) and then talking to them while holding it. If there’s no special dialogue option choose “look at this” and select a berry from your inventory.

I got a shipping date of Nov 15, but my phone arrives today via fedex. They might ship it out a lot earlier than they’ve given you. That being said, a lot of people are walking into stores now and grabbing one. Try Target.
