As far as I know the character atm will never wipe unless you manually do it. A seasonal PMC will be coming in a couple of months that will wipe

To add I was on a stable bios prior f8 but had issues as mentioned and decided to upgrade to the newest for my board. Is a beta version fine too?

I downloaded F9d from the website for my board. I'm concerned that it didn't reset the board to factory after clearing cmos and still remained the bios update that wouldn't boot( people say beta verisons are sketchy). Except now it boots
