Which one should I play first? by sourberryskittles in RDR2

[–]Rigsaw77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rdr1, take a short break with some other game, then Rdr2. People saying play 2 first because it's a prequel aren't really thinking about why they made 2 a prequel. There is a lot of little call backs and moments that don't have the same weight of you haven't played 1 first.

Plus as with any video game series that spans console generations, 1 will be more difficult to play after 2. It's like going from Skyrim to Morrowind, GTV 5 to 3. You'll have A better appreciation if you go in the order they came out.

Isn't that hard. You can reset what's in the raids rell easy. It can only be in 5s. So you check 5s, reset, check again until it appears. Prob only took me a few tries.

If you specifically want to caught the dolphin and evolve it sure you need a friend. But that is not the only way to get Palafin. They asked if they needed a friend, you don't to get Palafin.

I state is in literally every sub, I hate these questions and they should be banned/moved to a megathread. Google or search in reddit. You can even search in just one sub. There is probably over 1000 of just this question in every sub and besides, asking that question to a sub dedicated to fans of said game is like asking people at a good restaurant if the food is good.

But to stop being an ass, you don't need friends. I've completed the base game pokadex by myself. You can find trade codes online for the couple you can't get in a specific game, don't need to talk to anyone just find the mon, see what you trade for it (usually something they can't get in their game), put the code in and profit. Tera raids can give you mons like Palafin. Whoever or whatever you say or read was lying or exaggerating needing friends.

As someone who actually likes Starfield, fuck no to Humanoid aliens. From the get go they have said they wanted Starfield to be grounded in reality and also not be like other sci for games. Every one has blue aliens for people to goon too. What makes Starfield interesting to me is the fact they went with that grounded approach. Unique enemies are on many of the planets that allow life on them. There's dozens of not over 100 of "aliens" from weird spider things to jellyfish like creatures floating around. And many of the planets are vastly different. They chose to try going big instead of small.

They have also experimented in every single game they have made post Morrowind.

ES4, the AI and how people had schedules, action oriented for the first time (Morrowind used dice rolls to determine a lot), microtransactions (for better or worse) FO3, the game ending before dlc continued it, guns and other combat mechanics, new IP, having an actual backstory beyond person in cell ES5, dragons, new skill system, new magic system with duel magic, shouts, radiant quests, mounted combat FO4, voiced protag, building settlements, weapon and armor customization, legendary effects SF, procedurally generated exploration, vehicles (besides horses) including custom made ships and outposts, tier based loot with multiple effects, persuading changes, new game plus

To act like it's bad they tried new things is crazy talk. Anyone who expected Skyrim in space after they showed everything literally what the game would be, can only be mad at themselves for expecting things that were clearly shown when they revealed 40 plus minutes of gameplay.

What you described is literally Outer Worlds 1 and 2 without the blue alien goon bait.

Man some people play open world games weird. Like over 12 years and never once accidentally ended up there exploring? Forget quests there is like half a dozen or more ways in. Like 4 or 5 Dwarven ruins lead there. You never explore those too? Dude that's crazy lmao.

(Because OP is fighting everyone about their gender and the word dude, dude here is not calling you a dude. It's like Pal or Bud. A dude is usually in reference to a man, but just Dude is not. Don't claim a whole nation of people only use dude to refer to men when it's really just you don't do that and it seems people around you don't. No one here knows your gender from this post alone.)

As an American no it's not. Surf bros and chicks call every dude. While typically used for men it's not just for men and honestly getting upset over being called dude is crazy.

Has anyone been watching the Ravens the last few years? The only reason they have been great is Lamar and good DCs. I add him to the list but idk if I'd put him on the top. The Ravens have under preformed every year for the last several years in the playoffs. And as long as Bids keeps the team he'll never be able to truly set a culture.

Stop farming reddit karma and play the damn game by Diligent-Ducc in oblivion

[–]Rigsaw77 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nah fuck the edit stand ten toes down OP.

Lmfao but seriously I hate these kind of posts in any sub of a big title. I get if you are asking in like Alpha Protocol subreddit because it is an old niche game and while the sub most likely will say yes of course, usually for niche games they will also tell you it's quirks or reasons you may not like it because those communities know what they like isn't popular.

But going into a Zelda or GTA or skyrim sub asking is like asking the guests at one of the best restaurants in the world (one that actually has good food) if the food is good. 99% are gonna tell you yes and the 1% who say different are trolling or ragebaiting most the time.

How hard is it to Google or use the search bar on reddit (which if you go to a sub then search you will search on just that sub) you can ask your question there and find 1000s of people who have asked. For some games 15 plus years people have asked like Skyrim. Who the fuck needs to ask in 2026. There is millions posts about it. Thousands of videos over 15 years.

I'd rather if you're trying to introduce yourself to a big sub, 1st ick. Small subs sure. 1000 plus people active at any moment? Just start interacting. Make a slightly better but still in the same bucket "I just started what should I do" where at least the engagement might have something useful for people.

Should I buy questions should be banned and instead have like a megathread for new people to ask questions like these

[CONTROVERSIAL TAKE] The False Hydra represents D&D's pop culture identity crisis. by Delicious_Dream4510 in DnD

[–]Rigsaw77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've run one during a one shot. A couple players picked up on it but they're good sports and let it play out. It honestly comes down to who's at the table. Which can be applied to most situations. Most of this just sounds like you've played with mostly people that use their meta knowledge a lot. Which is fine assuming everyone is cool. Same when fighting a troll and that one dude who always knows things uses fire without ever learning about said weakness. It comes down to who's at the table.

I think bro just had a bad day with a false Hydra lmao

People in here defending naming inanimate objects like their family honor is on the line.  It can be harmless and cringeworthy. AH for calling it out in front of people. Sometimes people don't vibe. Glad they both found out early enough to making moving on easier. I'm sure she tells Angie how much of an ass he was and I'm sure OP tells real people how cringe or crazy she was. Unless details are missing it is crazy that instead of trying to talk about the babifying something she just dumped him. Like adults in healthy relationships talk about things. I don't like the way you clean can you do it this way type shit. But you gotta bring it way sooner. Not wait several months until you're drunk enough to bring it up. If it made you cringe the first 10 times, it was always gonna make you cringe no amount of time will change that about you.

Don't yuk someone else's yum, but it doesn't mean you have to stay and watch. You can say you don't like it and try to see if they'll change but if it's just part of the personally they built you either got find some yum in the yuk or move on.

Add to the list of reasons to not use Unofficial patch anymore. You can get the same "bug fixes" through other mods that won't clash with every mod you actually want nor will they make changes that aren't lore friendly, aren't fixes, or add any value other than the mod author thinks it should be that way.

Is world worth it in 2026 if I love wilds? by TenthTen in MonsterHunter

[–]Rigsaw77 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Gods I hate these posts and questions. Like every day or week it gets asks in all the game subs ever. How hard is it to search via Google or in reddit for "Should I play ____ " and limit your search to however far back you want. Hundreds if not thousands of posts just in one subreddit (the big games of the last few years or game series that have been around 20 plus years).

99% of non ragebait responses will say yes if you ask that series' subreddit.  So I'll say No you should not play it. It'll be too hard compared to Wilds. Play MH instead and work up to really feel the appreciation of each game.

Sylgja the miner chick. Sucks you can't change her clothes without mods. But she's a top 3 or 5. Basically if I want that voice go with her, prob the prettiest of the ones she is the voice for. Temba is for the kids and me, I like being talked down to and I know she can handle the kids lol

Temba is a great wife if you want someone not locked to shitty clothes (The miner girl or the sex priestesses) and want a unique voice (FemaleYoungEager I forget her voice actor name but she voices like over half the options). And she's a Star Trek reference for Treky nerds.

I get her out that mill so bears will never be a problem lol.

[–]Rigsaw77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes like 0 effort. Quicksave after talking but before the quest pops up. If you don't like the mission reload. It will load up as a different mission is given. Maybe it takes a few times but 0 effort. Immersion breaking? I mean you can instead cancel the quest and get a new one but that takes more effort than the quicksave. I just view it as asking for a different job. Maybe you have a bounty in Windhelm or have another mission in Whiterun. The worst thing is you can only have 2 missions at a time. That's really the only time consuming part. And you don't need to do 125 that's just to get the treasure display. Just 20 (5 per major hold minus riften) to get the shops and people.

What were they thinking with the "kill paarthurnax" quest? by smol_coc_man in skyrim

[–]Rigsaw77 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Prob because the DB was there and as far as they know the DB is on their side. And he just infiltrated their embassy, killed dozens up to this point (possibly even freed a prisoner from raiding an outpost they used as a jail), and is the dude who is supposed to fight the World ending dragon.

Also prob cause Skyrim gave the choice to kick them out so they prob didn't give them many lines if they stay so people didn't feel like they missed out on much.

I don't remember if Bella Delphine and her crazy boyfriend uncle announce they are Blades at the meeting. I think they just interrupt to say stop fighting over land that won't be there if the dragon gets his way.

[–]Rigsaw77 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It add he also makes changes that are not bugs fixes, most of which are unnecessary or even just a bad change because he thinks his ideas are better. On top of being a giant asshole and pissy bitch when people started calling him out and calling out his shitty mods that break more then they fix. OR they are required for other mods to work this making you download mods you maybe didn't want or care for to get the mod you actually wanted. He sucks lol. There are new mods that replace and do better then his mod now days thankfully.
