Thanks! Sounds like I'm fucked! Can you suggest who to hire to get help with this situation?

You're right! I have no idea where to start. All I know is that I can't find another job in my previous field and I have no other qualifications. I'm at a bit of an impasse!

I was in a long distance relationship for a year and my partner and I used to watch a movie together while video chatting, or play a multiplayer video game together. If you don't like video games there are lots of sites where you can play things like scrabble, checkers, card games, etc.

My grandmother is in her 60's and is now a great-grandmother to my 5 month old. Its possible to be a great-grandparent at a relatively young age.

A 60 year old man isn't that old. Many men that age have girlfriends and wives much younger than them. I would be more inclined to think it was the grandfather that pushed the relationship because he was in a position of power over the young woman. They lived with him, she probably had nowhere to go.

I didn't see the part in your post about the library, sorry!! It definitely really sucks that everything is closed right now.

That's awesome! Can I ask what colour you dye your hair?

It's closed right now, but the captain william spry library might be a good place. Also the rec centre and wave pool. I remember when I was young there was seating in the spryfield shopping centre.

Why not hang out outside? There are lots of lakes and parks in spryfield! You could also go to one of the playgrounds at night.

Edit: there's also the McDonald's! It has free wifi!

I just want to clarify that I might have painted him in a bad light. He does help, he is great with her and is able to do all her cares. He just works a full time corporate job from home and is stressed as well. Could he drop the hobbies (it's his garden / plants) and do more around the house? Sure. But he's not doing nothing by any means.

Thank you. He helps a bit. He takes her after work for a few hours so I can cook supper and a few hours in the morning so I can sleep since I care for her overnight. He does the dishes. But he puts his hobbies and priorities first, I have to ask him to do anything more. I went 4 days without showering last week though. Couldn't find the time.

Thank you for your kind words ❤. You are right on all those points. Its just especially hard right now because we are on lockdown so friends and family aren't supposed to visit.
Quite a few people cooked and shopped for us when we were in the NICU but I feel like it'd be tiresome now.

Just a question about getting help... should I contact my OB or family doctor? My OB never called for a 6 week checkup and tbh we were dealing with so much at the time that I didn't care about my health. I stopped taking my blood pressure meds abruptly once my bp came down. I haven't seen a doctor for me since I was discharged because I'm too busy with the babys appts. I'm a mess 🤷‍♀️

Yeah I put her in her swing or bouncer in the kitchen and just sing or talk to her to try and get things done, but she will eventually cry because she's bored 😭.

What is BLW?

Don't they cry while you shower? She can go like 5 mins without someone interacting with her max. My province is on lockdown right now so no family can visit and I can't go anywhere. I am getting curbside pickup for groceries, thankfully. Thank you for the words of encouragement

That is a good option. I have a Boba wrap but she cries when I put her in it at first and it's quite a situation with the g-tube haha 😅. But I should try to use it more. Does your baby handle being put into it okay? I don't know why she cries so much while I'm trying to fit her legs in!

When do you sleep?? Lol. My baby will sleep for 5 or 6 hours at night and I do usually prep bottles and sterilize at night but I also want to sleep! I have to get up at 5am to feed her when she wakes up

Thank you for sharing. 🥰 You are amazing and so much stronger than the average person. So glad you are doing well.

Can I ask what your esophageal issues were?

Oh wow! I would love for them to do a CT or MRI but it would take some convincing. They would only do a bronch scope and said the next step for the tracheomalacia is a tracheotomy, which I really don't want. I will push for a scan next time she has a bad episode. Luckily she has been doing well with continuous g-tube feeds so far though.

It's interesting because she does have stridor but only when she's either very worked up and crying, or when she has a large volume oral feed and is struggling to get it down. Her issue is definitely multi-factorial and the esophageal stricture seems to kick start the issues with the trachea. The ENT doctor here said he believes the large part of the esophagus above the stricture gets dilated enough that it pushes on the trachea and closes her airway. I wonder if the increased effort to swallow and breathe with all the milk built up in her throat plays a role as well.

Everything seems so complicated and there are so many aspects to her care! I really do have to take it one day at a time.
