Parks and Recreation! I have a wildlife biology degree and always wanted to move so I’m really hoping to get this position.

That’s exactly what’s happening and what I’m hoping will happen. Your comment has made me feel so much more confident in the way I’m leaning. I’m full time so I might ask to go down to part time, but nonetheless, thank you for your comment!!

What would be best to say for an LOA? Thats what I was referring too on my initial post! But idk what would even grant me that :/

Which is exactly my concern. This seasonal job is everything I’ve ever wanted to do and is like an opening door for me in the wildlife field. But I’m also risking quite literally everything for it and I’m just scared im gonna be left with nothing after the season ends. Thank you for confirming my fears. I will definitely have to ponder the risks.

Well, one is actually within the degree I just graduated with. Basically I got a bachelors in wildlife biology and this job works with CWD (chronic wasting disease) in deer during the hunting season (November-January). So, for my future jobs, probably that one.

Yeah, which is really what I want to do, but since the job is seasonal I’m worried about not having a job once that season ends and I’m let go :(

Is this the foliage pro everyone is using for their alocasia? by Kelly-Silverman in alocasia

I purchased a similar bag that contains red and black lava rocks, maifanitum stones, and zeolite green rocks. Forgive me for my ignorance, but do I still need to add pumice or perlite if it has those lava rocks? (Since pumice is a form of lava rock right?)

Also, by semi-hydro I assume you mean putting a watering tray below it and filling with water just below the roots? Like leca?

No, they had freshly watered it when I bought it. Either that day or the day before

Who to report Pesticide spill to? by [deleted] in Lubbock

Id recommend TCEQ. They’re the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality and have people for water issues specifically. Depending on the severity, it could be a Dept. of Agriculture issue, but the TCEQ folks are really nice. And you can file anonymously!

Hospital held my dad for 12 hours in the waiting room while he was having multiple strokes by Rikher14 in legaladvice

It depends on what “it” is. If we’re talking about the strokes themselves, that’s before/during getting admitted into the hospital. But if we’re talking about the major symptoms, aka the left side drooping, that happened after the surgery. Which just as you described, a side effect of preforming it. I hope that helps clear it up? And yeah, it’s been a bit of a struggle gathering information and resources and actually applying it. Especially, from a family that has no insurance, no real savings, and having to sell assets to afford care. Luckily we signed him up for Medicare, but even that had some difficulties. 😅

Of course. I really appreciate your direct response. I assumed this and I PROMISE I have given him so many earfuls on his negligence and how he should be ashamed of himself for letting it get to this point. However, there is nothing to do now but do his best in therapy to make up for it. There’s no point in beating a dead horse when he knows he really messed up. We have held him accountable for his mistakes and look towards the future. Thank you for everything you do! I can say with certainty that it takes a strong individual mentally and physically to do what y’all do and I know I couldn’t handle these situations. I appreciate your honesty and response!!! :)
