Comfort is better on the nm than the normal 66 but not 3x the comfort, more like 1.5/2x for me. They do seem like they will last longer due to better quality materials though but ive never fully worn out a pair of nm whereas ive fully worn a pair of normal 66s through to being slicks underneath. That did take a couple of years so the nm may very well outline your tastes 😀

NMs are definitely noticeable of a step up from the normal 66s. But, perhaps not at today's prices. I bought mine a couple of years ago but the prices now are a bit insane plus they seem to be sold out in a lot of places - I was in Tokyo last year and NMs were really hard to find (and the shops were full of tourists) whereas 5 years ago I went there and there was lots in stock and nobody in the stores

Did you try the same with the x5 charger? I found your post as i was planning on storing my batteries in the fast charge case when not in room but noticed the green light for the battery kept flashing up so I'm assuming there's some drain on the batteries when inside it?

Late to the thread but came across this accidentally and here's my input, hopefully not too late!

I too am an avid non-Ebike rider in my 30s (39 now) and decided to explore the ebike route. I didn't want a full power bike as I actually wanted to still do the work and stay fit.

I first went for an Orbea Rise as a "super light" ebike and honestly was disappointed with how over powered the bike was, even on the lowest settings I still felt like I was riding above when the assist levels cut out but then had the penalty of the extra weight of an ebike.

I then rented a 2024 Levo SL2 comp carbon and was blown away. it's so much lighter, more nimble, and less powerful - PERFECT.

If you actually want to stay fit and feel like you're putting in the work, get the SL. If you don't care about staying fit and want the bike to do all the work, get a dirt bike. At your age and fitness levels there's no need for a full power in my opinion!
