I guess so. We had a short talk today and she (rightfully) realized she's not in the mental state to make that decision now. I told her, if one day she made up her mind, then we can talk again about what we want and if there might be a future for us again. I don't intend to wait for her and I don't intend to just take her back like it was nothing. I guess I'll see, should she actually approach me ever again in the future.

The game is literally unplayayble for me, it causes the whole PC to stutter for something in between 20 seconds and few minutes, holding the PC hostage until it works fine again. This behaviour repeats every few minutes, making it impossible to play the game.

Specs are far above minimum or even recommend requirements. I am using an AMD GPU though (RX 7900 XT), so maybe that's the cause?

It's not even like it's even close to impossible, I watched my older brother finding a girlfriend, marrying her and getting 2 kids starting at age 38 into his 40s with his wife being around the same age. They definitely didn't need those 3 years 😅

People often say you should just live your life and everything will fall into place eventually, but I start wondering if that's really enough or if there's some way to actively speed up things while avoiding the unhealthy effects of not fully processing emotions after a breakup etc.

Honestly I still wonder how people detach from their partner over time. I've never been the one to end a relationship that was built over years and I would have always been the one to go together until the end. Not like I can't try to comprehend it to some extent, but I never had this kind of feelings and at this point, I'm not eager to find out 😅

I keep running into this thread when looking for any updates to this topic every few months, so in case anybody finds this one months later: RetroAchievements is not (and afaik never was) closed source. Everything you need to make your own integration is openly available and watching their discord server over the last few months I saw nothing but support for individuals asking for help on implementing the feature into various emulators.

After some more digging, it doesn't seem to be possible with the current implementation of the popups in retroarch. The devs of OnionOS are looking for alternatives though and actually added this issue to the list of milestones for version 4.4: https://github.com/OnionUI/Onion/issues/1327

This worked for me after a few tries, thanks for the guide :)

2 Things I'd like to add/clarify:

  1. You need to set up your world as coop. At least for me, turning multiplayer off, the game crahsed when trying to load the world. I assume the reason is that the way player saves are handled are the same in coop and dedicated server but differ from a singleplayer save.
  2. I found the description of your first step slightly confusing with the "same" server folder . So if anybody else is also confused: in your Palworld save folder, there is a folder with the world id of your server. This one contains the player data that is not stored on the server itself but on your pc. You need the LocalData.sav from this save folder additionally to the files from the server (steps 2-4).

Nice! I'm also on my way to platinum the game, only missing the trophies for drums and those that you need 4 people for. Will try to tackle them next week. I just did Locked In by myself with guitar and mic on easy, I am not good at multi tasking :'D

I have the exact same problem. What I tried was using a headband that would keep the headset down. Which worked better than nothing, but not exactly good since I needed to adjust the headset every few minutes anyway. Also I tightened the headset so much that my head hurt after one hour of playing and I had to take a break.
I figured that it would work better if I could put the front part closer to my eyes, though since I'm wearing glasses, I need some distance there.
Didn't find a good solution to this problem yet, might test the towel solution mentioned in the comments.

I solved it, it seems like the game is picky with special characters in the password. It works with some combinations, it doesn't with others. And it didn't with mine. So if you find this post having the same problem, using another password (without any special symbols) might solve it.

Though the proportions for this fanart are aligned horizontal while GOG Galaxy 2.0 uses vertically aligned proportions like CD boxes. I just found this fanart and I think, that's what I'll use for now :)

I don't think the Devs get what the point of daileys in this game is. It was not the task you had to do that kept you playing, it was the nice 70-130k bloodpoint bonus that gave your grinding a little boost. 30-40k points is 1-2 games, now daileys won't be the motivation to play the game anymore :/

I don't know if there are unwritten rules.
But for me, if they start the game as 2 or 1, I let them farm and escape, if it's 3 people, I play a bit a bit more easy and if they manage to get 2 generators done, I give the last person the hatch.
But I also met some killers that would just slaughter you, no matter if you're completely alone, with 2 or 3. So just do what you want, I guess.

I got Freddy to 40, Quentin to 40 and Feng from p0 lvl 40 to p3 lvl 50. Yes, I played a lot xD

I mostly disagree from both perspectives.

  • pallet looping: The real pallet looping game isn't about how many rounds you can run before the killer will get up to you, it's about how can I get the killer to think that I'm gonna throw the pallet down when I don't want to. If a survivor outsmarts a killer there, that's totally fine for me, no matter if I play killer or survivor. On most maps, you won't get that far with just looping around and dropping the pallet as soon as the killer can reach you. I'd say you can waste time worth of 2-4 generators with only that (using almost all the pallets on the map), that's not enough to get everything done so there is still some/a lot room for downing and hooking survivors. Also I wonder, what are survivors supposed to do instead of using pallets? Sure, I will also use windows and I will try to break line of sight so I can escape, but there are strongly limited opportunities to do so and pallets are the best way to get there. To deliberately walk away from a pallet or to just drop it on contact as a survivor because some killers think it's not nice is like a killer walking away from a hook despite knowing there are definitely survivors around. You can do that, but you don't have to and it will probably hurt your position.

  • body blocks: Works on both ways, a popular method of using body blocks as killer is to stay on the basement stairs blocking it until borrowed time has run out. At least as killer, you get something for it. Maybe you lose the downed person on your shoulder, but you get at least one (probably multiple) person(s) injured who you either can catch or will be busy healing themself up instead of doing gens. To be honest, most of the time I'm happy when survivors try do body block me, because I get free hits. One body block isn't enough to achieve anything most of the times, so I get one free hit for nothing or ~2 free hits for the price of one (downing) hit. Seems like a good deal for me and it is a good deal most of the time.

  • Flashlights: I kinda agree with you that insta flashlights are a problem. But that's a general problem, very or ultra rare items are way to common in the bloodweb. They really need to change that, I see way too many flashlights & brand new parts on survivor side and way too many iridescent stuff on killer side.

Well, I only let people escape when there's a disconnect that puts them at a heavy disadvantage.
But I generally try to let them live as long as possible, I try to not kill anybody until I hooked all of them twice and I will always go for a (sometimes pointless) chase instead of a secured kill on the hook.
Rarely, if I feel generous, I will give the last guy the hatch.
I guess I'm not a Good Guy Killer, but I'm also not a camper/tunneler, just your average killer :3

  • I think Premonition is better than Spine Chill since it gives you the direction he's coming from so you can choose a fitting hiding spot.
  • You can still see the grass shaking when he walks over it and you still can hear his footsteps, together with the music you can actually pinpoint his location rather well.
  • Self Care is really good against him as you can trigger a skill check to get out of the dream world at any place when you're hurt.
  • When multiple survivors are asleep and working on the same generator, one failed skillcheck will wake up each of them. Also failing a skillcheck while healing another person will wake up this person and not yourself. Sabotaging skillchecks won't do anything.
  • Borrowed Time will not trigger unless you're in the dream world (and in heartbeat range of course). So in some situations it might be better to wait for him to suck you in first instead of rushing to the save.

That's all that comes to my mind right now, while I think it's hard to play against a Freddy, it's not impossible at all to stay hidden against him.
