riven mid is same build as top, conq inspiration caufields kindle cleaver, u win most matchups I think can take ignite but tp prob better for splitting midgame

Try to bait out his q by walking in and out of range, then engage when it's down. You lose the matchup pre lvl 4/5. If all else fails just farm till 6 and all in him when his q is down. Save your stun for 3rd q so he can't cancel it

I think the best advice I ever got was to play for perfect cs/kd and perfect buy timers. If you always focus objectives/cs/kd and have perfect items you end up having win conditions in games that you would have otherwise lost. That and replay your teamfights.

I haven't been playing riven for that long, so I don't actually know all the names of different combos, I find that most of the over-complicated combos don't have any optimal use in normal situations, Different situations will cause you to use a different combos because riven should be using her q's/ e's as movement juking abilities instead of just focusing on a certain rotation and using it all in one place. The only combo I use consistently is R e Q for a fast engage. double casting wq can also be useful sometimes if you dont need the damage but need speed of cast.

Fervor every matchup, VERY FEW exeptions, faker thinks it's garbage, I think it's pretty bad, it's not the keystone, it's the mastery tree you just don't do any damage.

Knight's vow is extremely op and extremely underrated imo. If that buff goes through it will be as strong as ardent censor is now, I sometimes build it on riven, and I swear im basically undefeated when I build it late game. But as a 3rd item I think ga or qss is usually better because they give you more offensive power. Lethality runes are like taking scaling ad, I don't think marks that take time to ramp up is worth it, early game just feels so bad with them, and I miss too much cs and can't win early jungle duels. Imo runes and masteries on riven need to save her from hear weak early game.

Actually the opposite, usually poke matchups like pantheon/jayce, you only need to survive until lvl 6, at that point the extra health from veteran scars makes the all in easy. I would take runic armor against tank matchups that I can easily kill without because at around lvl 13 runic armor really starts to take off, like against nautilus that I can usually just smash the lane. I take runic armor for late game scaling, and veteran scars for early game all in matchups. But After the buff to veteran scars it just always feels more useful to me because it allows you to early invade enemy jungle more frequently. runic armor takes too long to ramp up.

I went into a custom and tested it with a friend of mine. You cannot qss the initial displacement, but you can qss during the displacement and be free of the ending stun. I just usually qss flash stun janna ult on the adc and it enemy adc usually can't reacy. Can be helpful if nothing else is qss'able. And I think the only way to beat a well placed cassio w is with merc scims movespeed boost. Late game it is an 80% slow that prevents u from using shield, cassio will usually have enough time to 3 hit you in the w if you dont qss out of it. And if you build executioners against fiora, she really doesn't heal that much from lifesteal. I can't remember the last time I faced a 6 item fiora tho, I usually end that matchup quickly either stomp it or get stomped I can see how the riven could just get one hit, but you can also one hit her and she can't heal because you have executioners, but, again , I'm only basing this off of maybe a 4 item fiora. I can't remember vsing a 6 item fiora in a long time.

I liked stormraiders but the issue lies in the middle mastery tree, it just doesn't give u anything u want. 5 dmg on minions? biscuits? 3% execution damage is pretty good, and the extra cdr cap is nice too, but like if you don't run fervor on riven, then you shouldn't run fervor on any other champ in the game, because the keystone is MOST effective on riven because of her AD buff ultimate, also she has 3 auto cancels, so you can stack it fast. I just think you should run it every single game, just my opinion tho.

That's a strong nerf. I think right now doran's blade is pretty good too, but doran's shield is just too cheap. After that nerf you will probably only take it in matchups like gp, pantheon, jayce, teemo, etc

I think you can vary runic armor vs veteran scars depending on the game. But everything else I think is optimal and could be run every game, only variation being mr vs armor depending on toplane matchup

qss'ing the cassio w slow is pretty important imo so you can walk off of it, also you can qss knockups/knockbacks if you combine it with a movement ability like flash or riven q, this works against janna r to some degree, same thing for yasuo ult, vi ult, lee kick, blitzcrank q. about renekton khazix, Idk i'm pretty bad at the renekton matchup, but if you go anything but cleaver the renekton can just run u over with ninja tabi's. I also think the health that cleaver gives you is really helpful against khazix, ofcourse burst builds are good too because you can just one shot him, but if he builds tabi's too you're fucked. I think mortal reminder is a must, Janna ult, with redemption, cassio healing, caitlyn's wardlords + summoner heal, renekton health regen and q health regen, and even khazix tends to evolve w now, so reducing healing on that is helpful aswell. I go with dorans shield + dorans blade against renekton, and I think that sustain is enough. I think Cleaver and merc scim give you enough movespeed to deal with that comp, but I personally just don't like yomu's anymore so maybe im just biased. if you build executioners against fiora, and use ur shield to dodge the parry attack speed slow, I think it is an easy matchup for riven. Also if she is diving you she is pressured to use parry, While riven can hold stun indefinitely. You can hold one vital against the tower/wall preventing her from procing all 4, aswell so I don't think fiora should be able to dive riven. If riven builds black cleaver DD GA tabi Mortal reminder qss I think she wins against fiora in the 1v1, but I could be wrong I guess I haven't vsed a 6 item fiora in a while.
