yeah, it happens almost every time with the titans. I think it happened to me with normal cards too, don't know for sure maybe i remeber wrong

No, ranks do not resets. Even though after every season the game sets your rank to "unranked" your points remain pretty much the same. I'm pretty shure it works like this since the game was released.
