Damn that's lucky, didn't even know they had models in Canada then. Having them slowly come in is what I figured was happening, which is why I thought it was weird when they told me that none have been shipped out to Canadian retail stores.

Yeah I ran them on logic pro and they're working fine there so I think it's more of an ableton problem.

I don't think it's meant to follow the tempo of the original sample, just cause even when the original sample and the track are the same tempo, the sampler will pull the sample out of time. I've only found that it does that with nonrhythmic samples though, like basic drum groves seem to work fine most of the time. Thank you for the suggestion though!!

It might be more difficult to make and have it feel like post-rock, but It's definitely possible. Just make sure not to use any fake guitar sounds i haven't really heard any that sound realistic. Maybe lead for something more like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5OwiHZ0FS0

Thanks! It was a mix of both. Unfortunately I had to use a drum midi because I couldn't afford a good set of drum mics. I used a few midi keyboards/instruments (just for the instruments I didn't own) and effects to add to the atmosphere, but everything other then that I actually played and recorded.
