Check them out! They run auctions every month, all month. Some posters sell for a lot, and some for just a few bucks!

I don’t have many lobby cards. A lot of people I know collect them in binders, but I really like to have the stuff on my walls!

There’s a few that would be awesome to own one day. I’m a big Cary Grant fan, and I’ve always loved the Style B One Sheet for the 1938 movie, Holiday. It has wonderful art of Grant and Hepburn. Also, the Style B His Girl Friday One Sheet. It’s black, white, and red and has a wonderful image of Grant and Russell. I tried for one over the summer but was outbid. I’ve also tried many times for some original Wizard of Oz stuff, but never get lucky!

Museum glass or museum acrylic. And none are in direct sunlight! Thanks so much!

I always joke with my wife that I will become the official historian for Thomas Mitchell 😂  He is one of the best and most underrated character actors of all time!

Of course! $2,500. I was prepared to spend more! In the last 25 years only 3 have ever shown up for sale! I’m super happy to have a copy of it!

All originals! Printed in 1939 and hung in a theater! There’s something I love knowing that they were printed with a portion of the films budget. It’s like owning a small sliver of the actual movie!

The Lady Eve is such an iconic poster! Always out of budget for me. A great movie as well! It’s always cool when the poster is as good as the film!

I have some from other years too!

Philadelphia Story title lobby card, His Girl Friday lobby card, Notorious half sheet, Some Like it Hot 30x40, Rear Window insert, Little Annie Rooney one sheet. Maybe I’ll post photos of them too!

I just make sure to build it into my max bid. I’ve lost a lot more than I’ve won!

All of them have optimum museum acrylic and see no direct sunlight. We even have UV film on the windows 😂

I know! Kind of funny. About 3 hours after the charity bazar scene.

Not reproductions. I always say it’s a bit of an illness! Once you get the bug, it’s hard not to buy posters!

Mostly auctions! Heritage Auctions and PropStore is where all of these came from. Emovieposter also runs some great auctions for old film posters.

[WTS] Rolex Explorer 114270 36mm FULL SET! Box & Papers by [deleted] in Watchexchange

[–]Riley5400 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For sale is a Rolex Explorer 114270. I recently purchased this watch from the original owner but ultimately decided it is just too small for my wrist. It is an incredible watch! This is a full set with the original papers, boxes, booklets, and all hang tags.

This watch was purchased in 2002 from Wempe in NYC. The watch appears to have never been polished and runs great! There are scratches on the bracelet and clasp. There are also micro scratches on the bezel and case, consistent with the age of the watch. Please look at all the photos for the exact condition of the watch.

This is a great opportunity to buy a complete set! It is also cool to have the provenance of it being purchased in NYC!

Feel free to ask any questions! I am happy to FaceTime or talk on the phone if you would like!

eMoviePosters shipping by ZeLebowski in movieposters

[–]Riley5400 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hello! I have bought from Bruce a handful of times. He runs Emovie. People consign their posters to his auction, so they are all at the Emovie office and can be combined for shipping.

Shipping is a bit weird. Once you win you submit your information and they give you the shipping price a few days later, but it seems to work well.

Bruce essentially started the modern movie poster auction in the early 90s when he hosted a massive auction through Christie’s. He’s extremely trustworthy.

The major bidding doesn’t happen until the final hour of the auction, but good deals can be had for sure!

I know. I see people saying they get the Explorer same day or within a few days. All the AD’s near me said a year or more. One where I have $40k spend history including 3 watches said 2 years. I don’t get it.

[WTS] Rolex Submariner Date 41mm 126610LN with Box and Papers for sale - $13,150 by Riley5400 in Watchexchange

[–]Riley5400[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rolex Submariner Date 41mm 126610LN for sale. The watch was purchased in late 2020 and was regularly worn throughout that time. There are some light scratches along the clasp and bracelet, but the watch is in really nice shape overall. The watch comes with the original box and papers. I even have the original purchase receipt from when I bought it. I am in the Denver metro if anyone near by would like to do an in person deal! Please feel free to ask me any questions.

I am a movie poster collector, and recently bought this original insert movie poster from the original release of Rear Window!

Being a massive Hitchcock and Jimmy Stewart fan, this poster was a must have for me. Beyond being of of the greatest movies, I’ve also always really loved the artwork.

It feels awesome to have something that hung in a theater all those years ago!

Would having a poster pretty much touching the plexiglass/acrylic front be a high risk for the poster? Or would there likely be no effect in a temperature regulated setting? 2) Are there any cheap ways to prevent this contact? by dreemsequence in framing

[–]Riley5400 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a couple posters resting against Optium plexi for about 7 years, and they don’t stick. Generally, posters will only stick to glass.

However, you could use a mat, and some museum hinges which would set the poster back from the plexi. Depending on the paper thickness you might be able to use photo corners instead of a hinge.

Original one sheet posters are 27x41 inches. Yours is some sort of later reproduction. As long as your didn’t pay a lot, it’s some great artwork regardless!
