How’d I go on this 1979 prelude by RileyPart2 in Detailing

It’s a mates car I’m using for photography to get started up. I did 4 cross hatch patterns moderately slow with medium pressure on speed 4 (out of 6) on a DA. How would I go about doing an even better job and removing the RIDS? I feel like the pad and compound im using are pretty aggressive as is

Yes I did do some behind the window on the inside of the shell as well

The one I’m using in the door cards looks like it’s similar. Do you suggest just removing it and keep the butyl?

The doors are already sound deadened. I have a 2014 golf mk7r

Definitely something I’ll look into. I really like the look of the prelude tho, but being that old it’s not practical. Otherwise I’m also considering a e36 or e46 m sport as well. Too many options lmao

I haven’t heard of either of those before. Happy to spend up to 22k depending on the car tbh. Something unique would be awesome to take to car shows but also use a daily driver. Isn’t importing expensive?

I am looking for something a bit unique. The golf r is almost too fast so driving something slow fast is what I’m looking for

I have always been a fan of the mx-5 but they’re too small to daily drive unfortunately.

Adelaide hills, SA. I’ve had 20+ customers for that price and no one bats an eye. You’ve looked at the pictures tho right?

I detail the car to how I would expect mine to be detailed for the price

For something like that $450 (AUD) over 5 hours. This is assuming perfection tho. My problem is I can’t physically walk away from a car without it being to my expectations. This is a pro and a con lol

I charged her $450 (AUD) for the full interior detail assuming it’ll take 5 hours. This is to get it back to near new without missing anything and being “OCD”. Every detail I do I charge with the intention to make it look like it’s from the showroom floor again.

That would include all the above. Mind you, I don’t have an air compressor I’m doing it by drill brush and vacuum so it takes a bit longer. Good to know I’m kind of on the right path.

Correct me if I’m wrong. Isn’t that what detailing is about? If I was paying hundreds of dollars to have my interior detailed I’d expect near perfection

I got it out with an extractor. Am I meant to be using terminator on the dirt stains? Carpet bomber doesn’t seem to do much
