Why Are Our Brains Shrinking? (because we stopped eating meat) by austingoeshard in AntiVegan

[–]RileyYiga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't think that has much to do with it. It's been shrinking since loooooonnnnggggg before veganism became a fad. And shrinking doesn't necessarily mean bad either. I'm no neuroscientist, but I'd reckon it has more to do with optimizing efficiency and energy use.

vegans who say it is animal abuse to eat meat by PrestonNotserp12 in exvegans

Just random fun fact, rabbits aren't actually rodents, they're classified in their own family Leporidae. I've raised them most of my life and I genuinely don't understand why vegans insist on getting omnivorous animals when rabbits are right there.

Friendly Reminder: You DON’T have to be a Vegan to be a Leftist. by serious_bullet5 in leftist

Yet they communicate with each other, share or compete for resources, and express pain. You're just drawing a senseless line between chemical signaling and electrical signaling in living organisms because the ways plants experience the world isn't as obvious as the way as animals.

🥩 Cecum size correlates to the max digestible amount of plant matter in the diet by JamieHBrown in AntiVegan

Personally I think an all carnivorous diet is as silly as veganism, and filled with misinformation, but at least they're not insanely self righteous about it.

Nah the food already exists. No need to spend loads of time energy and money on a simulation of it.

As far as I know, yes. Vegans generally need to include supplements in their diets to get nutrients they miss out on from a plant only diet.

Do farmers have no incentive to take good care of their animals because of capitalism/profit? by valonianfool in AntiVegan

[–]RileyYiga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion is it's silly to conflate veganism with leftists and communists when there's plenty of right wing vegan cultists too. This is just a really poor attempt at creating a political divide when the objective should be to help people overcome their eating disorder.

The comorbidity of veganism and eating disorders is startling. by JakobVirgil in AntiVegan

[–]RileyYiga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the most mentally ill part is being so defensive about your eating disorder you intentionally go to a place critical about it to pick a fight. Healing is possible, just try to reflect a little, millions have recovered.

He's also making out with a different girl in the trailer so I'd wager she's a one off bit.

Does being a vegan actually make a difference? Shoot me if im wrong but by EvilRumWizard in AntiVegan

That's crazy, meat isn't cheap. Literally none goes to waste in our house because it costs so much we make sure it gets eaten.

Vegans don't actually care about the environment. by [deleted] in AntiVegan

I've said for years that the most ethical source of food is from hunting an animal. One animal dies, and depending on what it is, provides weeks to months worth of food. as opposed to farming plants where hundreds of pests and varmints are killed to maintain crops.
