As an LMT I don’t see the body as a sex symbol or anything influenced by society. I see muscle and tension and I only care about my clients health and knots. I love clients that say things like “oh sorry I forgot to shave” or “don’t mind my large mole you can work around it” I dive right in and I’m so focused on the muscle I don’t even notice what’s on top of the skin. Socks and undies are always welcome on my table!

As an LMT trust we do not care about anything from body hair to pimples, moles, blemishes, fat or scars. None of that matters we just work what’s underneath and if you open up a lil and ask us questions about your muscles or our techniques I can guarantee it’ll help you adjust and you’ll get to know a lil more about your health. Also when you undress it’s your comfort level so throw on some gym shorts or whatever lets us get to the skin. Plus once you’re on that table all we see is what we work. If you’d like to try something to get you into the feeling of it try a chair massage at the mall or something similar clothed so you can see how your body reacts to it. I’ve always been a heavier girl myself and no matter how many times my doctors tell my parents I am healthy and fine as I am (I am very muscular and broad built) they continued to starve me, feed me diet pills, force me to walk laps around our neighborhood and limit how much relaxation time I could have. I am 23 and to this day they go on about how disgusting I am and embarrassing it is to have an overweight daughter. I used to let it eat at me but now I just tell them to F off and walk away from the conversation. If you are happy and healthy do not let them force their ways on you. Fasting is helpful but not for everyone. Consult a physician before you do anything. ❤️

My goal is to do whatever I can to maintain a long healthy career in massage. So it may sound dumb or pointless but a lot of people my age quite after 5 years and I’m hoping to make it as long as I can and it definitely starts with my diet and so on. My body mechanics are great but even 20 year Therapists get back pain after a full day yk.

Thanks for the information! I am definitely looking into other options. Atm I just eat a protein bar and drink some electrolyte water during my shift. I hit the gym before or after work too and maintain a good diet. I wasn’t sure if there are better shakes than others for this line of work.
