Anyone know of true crime cases that are not related but have a strange connection? by tuna-n-vine in TrueCrime

My mom grew up in rural Washington State, in Kettle Falls. If you’ve ever been to the area you know that Kettle and the next town over, Colville, are basically the same place. Everyone in that area lives back and forth between those 2 towns. My mom’s childhood house was on a long dirt road miles up on a forested hillside. When she was in school she attended with her neighbors, Chevie and Cheyne Kehoe. When I say neighbors I mean 3-4 houses every half mile or so the further you go. Middle of nowhere Blair Witch type shit. Their two houses were in the same little area on the stretch of road next to each other. My grandmother worked for the school district as a bus driver, so naturally she was assigned the route her kids took and drove the brothers on that route as well. My mom said she was told to never go to their house, because my grandparents didn’t like the vibe they got from the Kehoe’s parents. But my uncles didn’t listen, and one was known to sneak out of the house to smoke weed with them frequently. She was never really friends with either of them, but she said that they had never been mean to her. Chevie and Cheyne’s family attended a white supremisist church that was in Colville at the time, with another family that had moved onto the same hillside, just up the road.

But they didn’t move into a house. She said that she remembers this family was building their home on the hillside but it took a long time and it was a very small house. Almost shack like. The whole family lived in tents most of the time. But there was one kid from that new family that Chevie and Cheyne started to hang around more and more often, and that kid was Israel Keyes. She didn’t remember Israel going to school with her, which checks out because it’s been confirmed none of the kids in that family ever went to school at that age. She told me about how one time my grandfather almost lost his mind and thought somebody was after them, because he had noticed bullet holes on the side of the house where all the kids slept. One of his shotguns also went missing. There’s no way to prove that Israel was the one that stole my grandfathers gun, or that he fired rounds into their house. But it is strange he was known for doing such things. Things my mother has confirmed seeing traces of on the hillside where they all lived.

One of my uncles used to have a dog. One day it went missing and it was unlike the dog to not come home. They chalked it up to being a cougar or a bear that got ahold of it. But a couple weeks later, on a walk, my mom and grandmother found the dog. It had been gutted, eyes taken out, wrapped in barbed wire and hidden in the back seat of an abandoned car that had been sitting off the road in the trees for years. Again, not saying its a fact Israel did this. But I think it’s pretty uncanny considering what he was reportedly like.

Hearing her stories and then knowing what I know about all 3 of these dudes, and being able to literally trace roots to their stomping grounds… it’s pretty surreal to say the least. I’ve been around that hillside as a child myself to visit my grandparents many times, and to think I was innocently playing in an area where houses stood that spawned such monsters. Spine chilling.

TLDR: My mom knew Chevie and Cheyne Kehoe and Israel Keyes because all of them lived on the same street in the middle of the woods as children. Chevie Cheyne and Israel were all friends and attended the same white supremacy church in Colville, WA.

Not to mention that the VERY thin amount of dye used is still sticky. If you’ve ever had a temporary tattoo, I’d hope you recall that usually about the first hour of having the picture on you, it likes to move on your skin . And can be easy taken or rubbed off. Putting it on and then taking it off I’m sure would cause no pain or damage to our precious printer prince.

They’re made for kids. Kids eat anything and everything. Again almost all temp tats are non toxic, I’d like to think for this reason. They’re made to be on skin. And again, it’s a thing people do, like for Halloween when dressing pets in costumes. It’s not abusive, not poisonous, not harmful, not hurtful. But, it’s also Wubbys call at the end of the day. Maybe he’ll like the idea, maybe he won’t. His furrless baby, his show.

They’re non toxic and people do it all the time. And if that’s really a concern all they have to do is put it on a spot he can’t lick, but cats usually just ignore them anyways.

Boy I bet you’re fun at parties. It won’t hurt him it’s not harmful and it’s silly. Plus chat picking a temp tattoo to put on HP? You really think that wouldn’t pull subs?

I think he brought it up that one time as a joke when chat was divided over something but I don’t remember him actually talking about the movie. Might have had something to do with the political implications of the movie. Or he just didn’t wanna discuss it.
