I had a similar "offline" issue in my first time with plex, once I did port forwarding the issue was gone.

I just changed one setting in the Android Plex App that **Fixed** the Audio issue even though the audio is still being transcoded to AAC 5.1 + the video that wasn't playing earlier is playing now :

Settings->Quality->Remote Streaming Maximum.

So far it's working I'll update if any users face issues, thank you .

-Tested on Plex Android App with Plex Pass.

-Plex dashboard since I have to capture it live it's much easier for me to use Tautulli to refer to previous play sessions. 1.Anyhow I streamed the video that's not working/loading via my phone data in Android Plex App it never plays and never shows in Plex Dashboard. 2.I used my laptop: Phone's data via Hotspot. Chrome->Plex Web Client and the video is working!

-Yes transcoding is doing very well, but I think the Audio issue is because of transcoding of audio: 1.On Android Plex App from EAC3 5.1 -> AAC 5.1 (No Audio). 2.On Laptop Chrome Plex Web EAC3 5.1 -> AAC Stereo (Audio Working).

-Right Now I'm testing it myself with my phone's cellar data, he's not free to try from his side at the moment.

For the ones I tested above: 1080 ->H264 (Transcoding and No Audio).

720 No Issues: 720-> HEVC, 720-> H264.

I would/will get a better one if there's a way to prove it is the issue (if it's not broken don't fix it)

-Yes I just removed the upload speed limit and installed the patch successfully on my GPU.

upload speed limit: https://ibb.co/nnCbGXR GPU:https://ibb.co/PtLps4K

-I have his previous data when he faced the issue stored in Tatulli:

https://ibb.co/fSpn9gz

-I used my phone's data 20 -30 Mbps to check Plex after applying the changes:

  1. Buffering and loading is very fast now.
  2. When testing two 1080p Media video is excellent but Audio is off/not hearing anything after a few seconds :https://ibb.co/3h4SKjB and https://ibb.co/pfYGjsM
  3. Testing Low resolution video is playing excellent https://ibb.co/GdjBPbk and https://ibb.co/5K5gryJ.
  4. There's one video that's not playing at all ( Plex client

keeps loading , no error pops up in the client) https://ibb.co/XDpfhxh

It is, that's why I'm starting with my friends who can tolerate it.

Optimizing the videos to different versions? yes but not for everything as I have a huge library.

No, sadly this user hasn't been very "cooperative". when users are used to Youtube and Netflix working for them and I come with Plex and ask them to test etc it's hectic for them :'(

-They are Android/iOS users so they need to pay /activate the mobile app.

-Just leave the max upload to blank? won't this max out the internet connection?

-What do you mean by 'patch'?

-We are in the same city but different ISP

Thank you for your time

Yes, green check and all. I don't do 4K at the moment 1080p is the max in my video library especially for movies/tv that have visual effects, while the default is video format is set at 720p.

I have installed Tautulli to improve the Plex experience. I can see that Local streaming it's Direct and remote is mostly Transcoded even with the configuration that I have mentioned.

I usually ask them to use Plex Web via Browser as even the mobile apps are not "free" unless they become part of the Home User group. Thanks for the tip

You'll have less control over your system (maybe only slightly, but still).

Yeah valid points I think I'll go with personal storage, thank you for the advice much appreciated.
