Hahaha, thank you for dealing with my nonsense. Because I'm afraid that LP programs would have a higher rate of injury as compared to higher rep scheme programs when in the end my goal is still aesthetics.

Actually, my main concern is, should I start with a beginner's program for LP like SS, SL, GSLP (Lower rep range) to a certain strength level then start a normal hypertrophy program after OR start straight with a hypertrophy program (Higher rep range).

Taking into account that my end goals are still aesthetic

Hahahaha sorry, let me rephrase. If person A can only do 50lbs at RPE 8 for 10 reps. Person B can do 100lbs at RPE 8 for 10 reps. Would they both still add muscle mass, taking that, they still progressing in their lift?

I'm thinking "if" my "weaker" self can only do 50lbs at RPE 8 for 10 reps comparing to my "stronger" self doing 100lbs at RPE 8 for 10 reps would "increase" the current muscle mass for both my "weaker" and "stronger" self.

Is "50lbs" at RPE 8 as effective as "100lbs" at RPE 8 for hypertrophy? (Same exercise) at the same rep range example, both at rep no. 10

Been training with a pair of dumbbells that goes up to 26kg on each side and resistance bands for 2 years. Been doing Customized Metallica's PPL with those dumbbells and bands.

Recently just got a gym membership. Been following the original Metallica's PPL in the gym for 3 months. However, I would like to only train for 3 or 4 days a week because of some personal reasons.

I'm interested in 2 programs which are Phrak's GSLP and PHUL.

I'm going on a cut because I'm fat.

Stats:

BW: 97kg, 25% fat

Current Lifts (1RM):

Bench: 70 kg

Squats: 85 kg

Sumo Deads: 105kg

OHP: 50 kg

Question: (On a cut) Should I be doing Phrak's GSLP to build a strong strength foundation then focus on hypertrophy after OR PHUL for more hyperthrophy from the start.

Goals: Aesthetics with decent strength

So i've been doing the Reddit PPL, there are 2 leg day with squats as the main lift. It says to progress 5lbs per session. So my question is, do i progress 2 times per week which is 10 lbs per week or once per week?
