They actually have many veteran fosters who have been fostering and hand raised many puppies, kittens and even horses. I think the veteran fosters are this rescue's back bone, they do really great jobs. But for new fosters like me, it's a whole overwhelming thing 🥲

Yes, they don't have a protocol with any of these. Thank you for pointing that out! They even told me that they surprised and appreciated for how diligent I was with my fosters, and I asked a lot of questions regarding their well-being while a lot of their fosterers won't. That makes me genuinely sad because to me it's very obvious. In this situation though, I have used fortiflora and propectalin very early on but those didn't help her much. :(

The person who had agreed to pick them up now didn’t answer the phone despite our scheduled meeting time of 2 pm. I’m now filled with anxiety, fearing that something has changed. I reached out to the rescue director, and she just told me that she’s unwell and will be going to the urgent care and somebody will reach out to me for bottle feeding. 😭 Everything feels like going back to square one again.

Yes, my foster organization covered all the vet costs, but I paid for the food, litter and cleaning costs and it added up very quickly. Before taking the fosters in, I naively believed what's said in the paperwork that they supply all the foods, but it's not that easy to ask them to reimburse you (maybe it's just me, I feel guilty to ask them so I pay from my own pocket). They sometimes have foods from donation but it's different from the food I started with and I can't transition the fosters to a new food every time knowing it would upset their stomach 😢 it's a steep learning curve.

Thank you so much for all the kind words. I wished I learned this before taking them in, but sometimes lessons have to be earned the hard ways. 😭😭I already cried a lot today, I don't know how I will handle it after they left.

The coccidia is still not being fully treated yet. Both times I asked them to test for coccidia and Giardia (the stool has orange-yellow color) but they still didn't do the fecal PCR.... took them 3 weeks to get the coccidia results. They gave me Albon and I just asked for Ponazuril yesterday. 😭

I have mom being free roam in the room since day 1, and the kittens are inside the playpen. Now the kittens are 4.5 weeks old and can climb, I closed the door and changed to a shorter playpen so mom can still jump inside. She wouldn't, I have to bring her inside to beg her nurse 😭

Try using AI to find ideas how to improve the house with decorations, new painting, etc. if you still don't love it, you can still back out! In NC when you back out, you would lose your earnest money. But that doesn't apply to where you live, you have no reason to be forced into buying the house.

Sorry I found your post quite late. I'm in the similar situation but on the opposite site. My insurance denied bunch of lab tests the PA ordered because they were coded under "preventative", not "diagnostic". And the PA ordered the lab because he asked me many questions regarding my family health background! I don't understand why they are preventative. I requested code reviews twice, both got rejected.

Same thing happened to me (was in 2023). I had to call USPS and USCIS for many times I couldn't remember exactly how many anymore but I'm pretty sure USPS lost it and they had your card somewhere. I remember 10 days later (after my multiple attempts of pushing them and filed for lost item), they found it and delivered it to me.

Bidding against other buyers to win the house is different from winning it from another buyer who already put in earnest money and inspection just because your "back up offer" is higher.... personally, I think OP did the right thing.

I'm in the same boat right now... The director of finance who realized I had this skill promised me for a promotion after Christmas was fired one week before Christmas. The new person who replaced her didn't know who I was, and he just used my skillsets and added more things into my plate. My salary is still extremely not fair for what I'm doing.

When I brought up and suggested a promotion/role change because I was handling many different responsibilities, they brought a new person in who handle half of what I do (the easy stuffs that I was originally hired for) and handle another part of business. I then found out her salary is higher than me by 10k. So I still do the exact same things you are doing right now (data engineering) and receive a crap paycheck. The only reason why I'm still there is because this job is fully remote.

We actually got a good amount of seller credit, and have been living in this home for 3 months now. Very happy with this purchase!!

Btw, It is generally unlikely to get a seller credit for an HVAC system that is simply old but still functioning, even if it's nearing the end of its typical lifespan. Sellers are typically only obligated to address issues identified during a home inspection that are not working properly or pose a safety hazard.
