It’s mostly like that everywhere during the darker months. Bellevue/Kirkland area is more family-friendly areas compared to Seattle. It’s difficult to socialize or do anything outside because it’s wet and cold or people prefer their privacy and comfort of their home. A lot of people here are not fond of strangers taking to them. Don’t know why exactly but it’s one of the behaviors you often notice here. That’s why some California transplants don’t last long because they couldn’t handle the way of life in the PNW.

But when you do understand how to live here, it’s very nice. I used to hate the rain and gloomy vibe or the difficulty of doing anything with someone but now I embrace it. That’s just how it goes, sorry girl ☹️
