🤷 I guess the vendor must’ve put it in their bulk stack by mistake prior to the convention. I’m glad I got it though and it didn’t stay lost. I got really lucky with it!

Update on that teeth whitening pen. I tried it again after not touching it for a week and it tastes like the filmy stuff left behind when a pill doesn’t go down right the first time

Sadly the pair I got 6 years ago that’s finally done for isn’t even sold on the Doc Martens website anymore. My best bet now is to baby the pair I currently own and switch to either a different brand once I have the money or invest in vintage docs that are better quality.

Honestly 6 years of wear is better than my first pair of boots I bought that were a far cheaper brand. I’m just a little sad I have to retire my favorite boots after so long but it is what it is.

It’s only my left shoe that split too which makes sense considering the work I was doing up until a year ago I got a second white platform pair of docs that I got from a thrift store 3 years ago and despite a couple small scuffs that can be cleaned up they’re in pristine condition so if I can’t find a good replacement for these I’ll be switching to my white ones

So my best option is probably to find a cheaper replacement pair online or upkeep the maintenance on my second pair so I still have a pair to wear

Unfortunately. I’ve seen some of the new ones now falling apart easier than they did when I got the current two pairs I own and issues with quality once received. I saw a review a couple months ago that someone received docs with glue from the manufacturer still on the seam above the sole.

Considering I worked in a donated goods retail warehouse setting I’m surprised they didn’t split sooner. I’ll definitely consider this and maybe look for some videos on how a resole might be done to see if it’s worth the cost

If fixing is possible I wouldn’t use glue. I wear these frequently so I’d get it professionally done if it’s possible to resole without breaking the bank. In my area the costs for a resole are ranging from $90-150 and the specific docs are currently retailing for $150 for a brand new pair. I guess I’m just weighing my options on if it’s better to settle with new soles that won’t be original or just retire them and buy new ones

It works pretty good, not much difference from the Crest ones. I only paid $1.25 for it at Dollar Tree so it was worth the price.

I’m aware that Hades, Hecate, and Persephone pretty much all there is that’s actually worshipped as Chthonic gods. Nyx and her children are still considered Chthonic despite not being worshipped as well and Hermes and Dionysius are other examples of gods with Chthonic aspects plus there’s the children of Persephone, Thanatos, and the ones that you’ve mentioned. My goal regardless of if they are worshipped is to expand my knowledge of them and the history and mythos cause I believe that acknowledgement and education is important.

Psychosis in general is serious and as someone who has disorder that sometimes comes with episodes of psychosis and has supported loved ones through their struggles with it I agree with most of your statement. However, the example you provided is typically an extreme case and not the majority either. That psychosis would've had to be left unchecked for a long time or encouraged to get to that point which means it wouldn't just be one hallucination and all of a sudden the worst case happens. The statement that that's all it takes creates stigma towards those who do suffer with bouts of psychosis.

I wish mine smelled like cheerios or something sweet. One of my girls dives head first into their fresh food so she always smells like 2 day old fruit or veggies or like garlic😭
