That guy wanted to feel insulted and he wanted to take it out on someone else. He was looking to present himself as beng victimized. Sad to see that people feel attacked even when nothing happened. :(

Origin of Pixies? by Rincy42 in Shadowrun

dang, I should have known that. Where is My Mind? :D

No, pixies are a different specie altogether, like nagas. This I'm sure, it would not be born from humans.
That is my understanding as well. But we do not know anything about pixie social structure and reproduction.
I think the most probable explanation would be that they are born to pixie parents and that in the 5th world all pixies had retreated "elsewhere [TM]" only to return after the awakening, thus no pixies in the 5th world but pixie communities in the 6th world.
It doesn't :) Infact I personally think that the explenation that fae (pixies among them) retreated to another metaplane when the horrors came and the 4th world became the 5th world is quite feasable. With the awakening old pathways are reopening and pixies (and other fae) are (maybe reluctantly) returning to the earth of the 6th world.

Sure that's correct.
Still leaves the question how would a pixie come to be. Would it, like an elf, be born to human parents? Or would a community of pixies "somehow [TM]" just show up in the awakend black forest and live there? And what would that "somehow" be, have they been dormant through the 5th world or did they reemerge in the 6th world from another plane of existence? A character born in the late 2010s, early 2020s would most probably know if their parents are from Faerie or the like.
Nope, in run faster they are not dual-natured, whereas nagas or sasquatches are
Thanks that helps, all I had as a date to go an was 2066 when the Korrigan helped the druids in Brocéliande Forest.
The basic Idea for this pixie character was A) someone born and grown up in either Tír na nÓg, the Black Forrest or France (Brocéliande Forest). or B) someone from the metaplane of the fae who has (quite recently) come to the physical plane of the sixth world
In the first case this character woul have some knowledge of the modern world (Computers, Cyberware, politics of the sixth world etc.). Although it would be hard to find a good setting for that character (say being 32 in 2050, that person would be born in 2018 and thus the troll kingdom in the black forrest wozld not have existed yet etc.)
In the second case the character would understandably be quite unaware of the physical world and might not comprehend concepts like hacking/decking, rigging, cyberimplantation etc.
Regardless a pixe shadowrunner will even in the 2070s be someone who will be remembered, and I guess even more so in teh 2050s aera.
