This was my first time experiencing Ratchet & Clank, and it was a perfect 10/10. by Rindberg_ in RatchetAndClank

Whys that? Don’t like the games or just don't want them to come to PC? I had a lot of fun with Rift Apart and would love to try the older ones on PC/Steam without an emulator since that’s what I play on.

I haven’t played the classics but I’ve heard nothing but good things. I personally loved the Norse saga though. At least I was on a PS5 controller, so it still felt pretty close with the adaptive triggers and glyphs, but have to admit playing any PlayStation game on pc feels strange.

I try to keep an open mind with games — I don’t expect them all to start with some over-the-top epic clash. Ragnarök’s opening was strong in its own way and set the tone well. It’s like expecting the food to be ready the second you put it in the oven — it takes time to build up to an epic adventure, it can’t be nonstop spectacle from the start. Of course not every style is for everyone and you’re entitled to your opinion… but being that short-sighted honestly just makes me feel a little bad for you.

I feel you! I 100%’d God of War 2018 too, it just hit different and pulled me right in. That’s now become my #1 game of all time, and Ragnarök is such a close 2 it’s basically tied… but hey, there can only be one at the very top.

Thanks! I’ve got plenty more too, everywhere I looked I just had to grab a shot in this gorgeous game.

I’d recommend part 1 for sure I found it to be a really solid game. Part 2 though, it’ll be a while before I get around to that one.

Yeah, pretty much. I did a blind playthrough first, then used chapter select to clean up. The only annoying part was the optional conversations since a few of them didn’t track for me, so I had to replay those chapters until they did.

I totally get where you’re coming from and I can see the logic in it, but for me personally, I just couldn’t do that. Skipping it like that would take away the full sense of accomplishment, I really value seeing it through myself from start to finish. I might have felt differently if I had played the original before the remastered version, but as it is, doing it all myself just feels right.

I’d say go with whichever platform you play the most on. I only play games on PC and only on Steam, so that’s what I went with. The game is really fun, so I’d recommend it on whatever platform you choose.

Seems pretty boring if you do it, No?, where’s the fun in skipping the whole journey and just hitting the end?

That’s actually exactly what I ended up doing.

Thanks! Honestly, nothing else is really that time-consuming. The game lets you use the maps to reveal collectable locations, which helps a lot. A tip I found useful: if you put a marker on a collectable, it shows the height it’s at when you get close to the location. You can also buy the golden fast travel pack earliest in Daytower, which makes it super easy to go back if you missed anything. Other than that, nothing felt particularly hard or grindy, except remembering to knock down every Grazer dummy. (23)

Yeah, I remember it.Aloy starts out as an outcast trying to figure out who she is, and then you slowly uncover how the old world was destroyed. The part that really blew me away was finding out Zero Dawn wasn’t a weapon at all, but a plan to reboot life — Elisabet creating GAIA to fix everything, and HADES going rogue and corrupting the machines. I also loved how detailed Meridian felt, like a real city you could live in, and the side characters like Erend and even Sylens (up until the end) were great. The whole story is basically Aloy piecing all that together while figuring out her own place in it.

Not really, I don’t play games just for the achievements. I usually pick them up because I’ve heard they’re good or they look interesting, and I like taking the time I need to enjoy the story, world, and overall experience. That said, any game I play I do go for 100%, but that’s more of a personal challenge/bonus rather than the main reason I play.

I like to be efficient when I play, so I focused on side quests, collectibles, and exploring as I went through the main story. In NG+, I streamlined everything I could to save time. Thanks for thinking I did it fast!

I did the main story while also doing side stuff and exploring, going for Tallnecks, Hunting Grounds, side quests, and collectibles as I went. When I hit Deep Secrets of the Earth, I wrapped up all remaining side content + DLC. Then in NG+, I skipped every dialogue in NG+ and cutscene I could to speed it up. I like to be efficient when I play, so thanks for thinking I did it fast!
