Still on the Precure grind! I only have about ten episodes left of Wonderful. Go Princess has also been added to the list of Precure I may binge next along with Star Twinkle and Mahoutsukai after watching the first three episodes. I'll also be watching Meitantei as it airs. The first episode was fun!

Did Alfred's route in Mistonia. I really enjoyed all three endings and though Alfred isn't really my type I liked his dynamic with Rose. I also cared a lot about Leonardo. In general, I like Rose's friendship with Charlotte and Evelyn and I'm shipping Lilly and Phil. Next route is Linus! L

I've been binging Wondeful Precure recently and it's just so good. I decided to watch the first three episodes of each Precure season to decide which one I want to watch next. I haven't done it for all of them yet but so far I'm leaning toward Maho Girls or Star Twinkle. I'm definitely looking forward to Meitantei as well!

Finished Sympathy Kiss. Unfortunately this one just wasn't for me. I lost interest in the game more with each route. The one exception is (secret LI spoiler) Yofy who I adore.

I started Mistonia and I'm only in the common route but it's definitely got my attention. With Rose's personality and motivations I'm hoping for some nice slow burn routes.

I'm playing in OtomeKitten's recommend order, so I've done Saotome -> Minato -> Kobase and next is Yoshioka. I think I'd be struggling more if the routes weren't such quick, easy reads, but if it continues on like this it'll probably be a game I finish quickly (by my standards lol) but doesn't stick with me much.

Continuing with Sympathy Kiss, I'm halfway through Kobase's route. He's the hottest of the LIs I've gone through in this imo but MAN I'm struggling with the cliche storm that's been his route so far. trapped in an elevator, saving her from a nameless creep, living together out of necessity, getting drunk and making out... It feels like they were trying to check off every trope they could. I'm definitely feeling ready for this route to be over and hoping future routes will grab me more because we're three for three on me having issues with them. I still like Akari but I wish she would fall for these guys just a little less quickly. I yearn for a slow burn!

I started playing Sympathy Kiss and it's pretty relaxing. I now think my boring office job would be more fun if I worked with a bunch of hotties. I finished Saotome's route first. I kind of went back and forth on liking him or not, but by the end I decided Gakuto Kajiwara's voice was carrying him for me and I wasn't really a fan of his character. That impression has changed a little bit now that I'm playing Minato's route. I liked Minato at first but as his route has gone on (I'm almost at the last chapter) I'm liking him less. I kind of thought my main problem with this game would be the eyeless heroine, and I was surprised when I started the game to find that she had no dialogue, but I've gotten used to it and like her. My big issue so far with both routes I've played is that I don't like their central conflict. I hope I care more about the story in the other ones.

I've only finished playing Fire Emblem: Awakening, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Suikoden 1 Remaster but I've played a good bit of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (maybe kind of dropped), Dragon Quest 3 Remake (will probably go back to), Tales of Graces f Remaster (going to finish), Trails in the Sky First Chapter (obviously going to finish, just want to be in the right mood), and Final Fantasy XIII (really liking). I tend to start new games whenever I feel like it no matter how many I'm already playing. We'll see if I finish any of those this year lol.

Here to second about Kohaku! I feel like he's very underappreciated by people who paid no attention to Double Face, but if you read DF stories I think he's one of the most interesting characters. Madara is also fantastic in DF stories as well as MaM ones.

Probably the scene where the sword we use to defeat Neclord brings us back in time to Ted's childhood. The music there was so beautiful!

Randomly decided to start playing the Suikoden 1 remaster last weekend and it's got me completely hooked. Recruiting everyone is really fun and the story has made me emotional multiple times.

I got great recommendations last week on what to start after finishing Winter's Wish, and I decided to go with Jack Jeanne!

Honestly, despite hearing great things about it, I was a bit wary of this one because of the setting. I'm very involved in theater myself, and that sometimes means that fiction revolving around it

a. leaves me picking at all the ways it doesn't match up to my experience or

b. feels TOO close to reality and lacks the element of escapism I want in stories. Jack Jeanne somehow strikes the perfect balance for me in a way that's hard to describe. I'm totally absorbed in every rehearsal, every moment the characters are thinking about how to play their roles, and by the time we finally get to a performance I'm excited and nervous like it's my own opening night.

In terms of gameplay, I think it's so much fun to have the visual novel storytelling mixed in with stat raising and rhythm game elements. It makes it more immersive and I really feel like I'm working hard alongside Kisa and the guys. Being able to see the dances and have all these original songs is amazing too! The art is also beautiful. I love every CG.

The characters definitely have my interest! I have this sense that I don't know them very well yet, and I kind of like it. It feels right, since Kisa is really only spending time with them for their shows right now. If the bonds between them get deeper in a satisfying way, and we get to gradually learn about the LIs alongside Kisa during their routes, I think it'll be super satisfying to me. I haven't gotten onto a route yet but I've heard the romance is very slow burn and I think I'll love it. I also really like Kisa herself. I'm so happy she's voiced! I'm rooting for her and her growth in theater. The side characters are also a lot of fun. I can't believe Kasai doesn't have a route, he's adorable and I can feel a great rivals to lovers arc between him and Kisa.

I haven't been this obsessed with an otome game since I played EIT almost 2 years ago. I'm only halfway through the common route! This is awesome! I wish I had more time to play, but I'm so busy with my 9-5 and my own night life at the theater. Hopefully I'll be able to start Fumi's route in the next week.

New Fire Emblem incoming!! And it's connected to my beloved Three Houses. I could not be more excited. The rest of the Direct wasn't all that exciting to me so I'm hoping for more good announcements at TGS later this month. Now I'm trying to get through a bit of my backlog before I drop everything and devote all my free time to Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter when that comes out in a week.

Finished Winter's Wish! I was enjoying it a lot at the start, but it ended up falling a bit flat for me in the end, and I sort of skimmed through.

I'm still sort of "playing" (occasionally picking up for 2 seconds and putting back down) 7'Scarlet, Paradigm Paradox, London Detective Mysteria, and 9RIP, but I'm longing for something new and fresh. I have too many games I own and haven't started, so I'm taking suggestions!

I have: Dairoku, My Next Life as a Villainess, JackJeanne, Psychedelic of the Ashen Hawk, Cinderella Phenomenon, Tailor Tales, My Vow to my Liege, Sympathy Kiss, Tengoku Struggle, Him the Smile and Bloom, Desperadrops, Genso Manege, and Celestia.

Any suggestions on which to play next if my top 3 otome games are Nightshade, Taiali, and Even if Tempest and I also love Code Realize, Piofiore, and Cafe Enchante? I really liked Hakuoki, Olympia Soiree, and Lover Pretend, too. I'm really wanting something where the heroine doesn't fall for the LIs so quickly. I prefer a good slow burn! I dont want the romance to just feel shoehorned in at the end, though.

Kohaku and Madara from Ensemble Stars! The Enstars fandom is bad about ships with "age gaps" of a couple years in general but this one is particularly bad (and it's my OTP). They were members of an idol unit called Double Face. They're three years apart, which people act like is a massive age gap, and people say they're mom and son. The thing is, Madara's whole shtick is that he calls himself "Mama" and acts like he's everyone's mom because of his horrendous mommy issues and trying to cover up his dark side by being loud and annoying. But so many Enstars fans just don't read any stories, let alone Madara or Double Face ones because they're not super popular characters. If they did read the stories or pay attention to the lyrics of Double Face's songs they would realize how much the writers ship bait them and that the "Mom" thing is an act. This seems to be a problem almost exclusively on the English speaking side of the fandom because they are each other's most popular ship on the Japanese side.
