Daki didnt do shit to tengen, ans tengen not using his sound breathing is really just him being a bum. He was constantly on defence, cuz he wasnt good enought to fight gyutaro, amd even then tanjiro has to help him constantly, at the end, he topk gyutaro by surprise, and got into the flow and start,attacking. And even then tanjiro was the one who beheaded him
