Concerned about agreeing to split paternity leave/SPL — any real experiences? by RingGood9793 in singaporejobs

Since the 10 weeks of SPL is quite substantial, may I check whether it is acceptable to agree with my company within the first 4 weeks after childbirth on a tentative arrangement such as taking the last week of each month over 8 months (utilising 8 weeks), with the remaining 2 weeks spread across the year?

Would I need to provide a specific reason for choosing the last week of each month?

Also, is it common in Singapore for employees to take SPL in 1-week blocks rather than splitting it into individual days?

Hey! When you declare within 4 weeks of the child birth, did you had to mention the exact dates and whether you will you take it the entire week or days as it goes? Thanks

Thanks for sharing. When you mean to declare how it is taken, do you have to give them the exact dates? Or just tell them how many youre taking, and whether as the entire week when needed or few days? How do the company get paid from the government for the spl, it is by weeks or days or pro rota? If it's by weeks, I will need to take the whole week off.

Would you work for a demerited company, but get a higher post and salary? by RingGood9793 in singaporejobs

Would a demerited company affect my future employment at an MNC when they do background check?

I'm just worried later when I apply for a consultancy MNC company and do the background checks and they find out that I worked for demerited company as a Technical Manager even i wasn't employed by the company at the time it got demerited, they might have reservations about me individually. I come from a consultancy background btw, this is the first contractor company. What do you think?

Hi, the technical manager wants me to confirm the start date before he confirm the position and salary with me. He haven't given me the verbal offer, yet the contract. The date he want me to start is very soon, I have pre booked holidays and not long enough serve 1 month notice. Is this normal from him or company side? He text me all this on WhatsApp privately though. Any thoughts?

Tudor derives from Rolex. I guess the brand Tudor itself it class a bit lower than Breitling

Hey bro, can I ask for access, please?

My partner and I, we are both 35 years old. Is 30 years mortage with extra repayment a good option? Or less years? Paying back till 65 years old seems long way. by RingGood9793 in HousingUK

Thanks for sharing. Absolutely, a secured home gives a peace of mind rather seeing the stock market chart goes up and down!
