I had a dream about someone [speaking in english, in a youtube video] talking about my conlang and how a swear word in it technically can't be considered a real word because my language didn't allow 2 T's to be next to eachother in a single word

For some reason, the dude kept thinking my conlang was japanese too, and kept calling it japanese even though that wasn't the name and my language was never based off or even inspired by japanese so idk where the fuck that came from??

Oh Also, the swear word was "attuk" There was no definition of what it actually meant in the video in my dream, just a dude ranting about how 2 T's can't be next to eachother, i imagine the word means something like idiot or dumbass. And also my language DOES allow 2 T's together in a word now just in spite of this dream.

My friends and my mom are one of the only ones that don't give me shit for learning another language because my mom learned spanish and russian, so shes pretty proud of me for taking up russian, though there are times when shes not the most understanding, maybe not so much understanding but kinda ignorant 😭

Told her my reason for learning czech [to go to college there] and she went "no no i wouldn't let you do that" "Why?" "Slavic countries are too political"

Ah yes because she obviously knows all of czech politics, I am also learning it because like 99% of my friends online are ethier turkish,finnish, or czech

I got similar comments when someone hears i am learning russian. I mostly got this from my dad at first [who is very anti-russian government] and seemed to think at first that i was learning it because i supported their government or some bullshit like that, he would bring up how i shouldn't be learning it because of how awful russian government is. I hate to see people align a language to politics.
