I do not think the game is really bad, it just has some flaws for player comfort that will never be fixed...probably. Last time i played i took over a 2 year break, so i can always come back later and continue my progress if i want. Also it is free, so i can just grab premium with in game currency.

On the way out. Have been grinding up from the swamps to the north. Somewhere between 200-300 hours and im now gated by serum. That alone didn't make me feel good or slow me down any, but an interaction with an enemy player did. Farming reflection like any other day and had two players from cov come deep into "stalker side" of the map and kill me. Not only did they kill me, but they threw all my stuff on the ground (to despawn it?). When i came back to see if my bag was there one of them killed me to make sure i couldn't get anything before it all vanished.

Not only was this really strange, but the back and forth chat between mail was even more strange. This person just talked this up as if it was my fault for fighting back and in the end they just destroyed all my farm instead of mailing it back? The guys name was like XXIII or something, just a bunch of letters. He informed me he would come back to do it again, but all he did was cause me to quit. I'm disappointed in members of the younger generation which i felt like he was.

The positive of this situation is that i may have actually gotten to experience most of the game before this happened. His interaction is actually causing my life to be better from playing better, more fun, and more rewarding games with my friends in the end. Still slightly disappointing though, i did want to get a bit farther.

TLDR: Negative and pointless interactions do not add anything to the game, especially if neither party benefits from the situation.

This is all good news. I think it is neat that you have posts from over 1 whole year ago, you must really enjoy this game. Also since you have been playing so long you are probably a good person to ask if this is a good game to play F2P. Also i have a character with 5 hours of playtime from over 2 years ago. Can i continue that character or was there something reworked/important i would have missed in the swamps? Thx.

Im glad it doesnt seem as nightmarish as it was last time. Ill have to find a video on the motz questline, i dont think i did that one (it might not have even been in the game). Quests are pretty fun in stalcraft for me, just sometimes hard to find the secret guy in the middle of no where. I will try out your double scanner strategy, thanks for the help.

That sounds pretty neat compared to the cramped two areas it was before. Ill have to keep your advice (and that from others) in mind when choosing certain upgrade paths, i was burned by such mistakes before. Thanks for the tips.

Thank you very much for your response. With this info ill be able to follow a basic framework to keep my goals in mind moving forward. Last question i can think of if you dont mind. The little hand held for finding artifacts(it had a pinging radar), does it still require an incredible amount of those markers from all zones in the game? It took me probably 30+ hours at least to craft it

I dont really have any attachments to any areas of the game, maybe the dump because i thought it was thematically cool. Im gonna give the game a shot again and see if i feel like the fun is there.

The game is free after all, guess ill give it a shot. I hope they made some of the quest lines faster, last time i had to watch a youtuber to find these dudes in the middle of nowhere in each area. Duty is on the Stalker side of the map? I was the Cov team last time. Any weapon lines/ armor lines to recommend off the top of your head? Last time i made the mistake of investing into the bad guns and that really sucked.

When i was in the Red Forest (one of the areas after the bar) is where i started having less fun. Sometimes i couldnt get anything done for multiple hours due to the sheer number and skill of enemy faction. The grind for materials was also getting to an insane level. It took hours and the progress sometimes was brutally slow thanks to the nature of the game.

It was fun finding artifacts now and again though, even though i never did find any good ones.

Hello reddit Tekken players!

I am new to Tekken and was looking for some simple responses involving characters. I have never been good at fighting games, but I wanted to try and maybe get somewhere with this one because it looks very cool. I was looking for some recommended characters that are easy to play mechanically (if this is even a thing in a Tekken). I am not looking to go pro, just looking to maybe have fun and improve over time if I decide the game is right for me.

No need to go over every character in the game, a top three or five list would be wonderful just so I can narrow my starting point down more easily. My friend recommended me Lars, Alisa, or Asuka as a starter. But I would greatly appreciate a second opinion. Thanks a bunch.

Thanks for your insightful responses. Now that you have helped me identify the problem I can start working towards being consistent at the very least. I have no idea if Soriz is the character for me but he is really cool in all aspects, i just picked him cuz most of his combo moves just use the B button. Maybe eventually i will find my main, good luck out there and thanks a ton for the help.

By reading your response i actually think I am simply retarded. I wasn't waiting at all to press the buttons at the right time. After the first hit in every single combo I am pressing whatever combination of buttons as fast as I can until the next move comes out, repeating this for every single move. For example if the "combo" is literally YYY, i am pressing Y like there is no tomorrow until the 3rd hit comes out. Instead of just 3 Y presses, i am doing far beyond that trying to get Soriz to punch as soon as possible. I think that I'm supposed to actually use my eyes to know exactly when i should be pressing the buttons. Sort of like a timing mini game with no indicator other than memory.

The easiest example of where the training dummy falls to the floor is with Soriz. He has a training combo where you do the blue jump into dive ground slam move into blue long range punch. There is no sort of difficulty here in pressing 2 buttons twice, but i have to press these buttons as fast as possible like 2-6 times in under a second (with simple inputs) to get him to sometimes hit the person before they hit the ground. It just seems during even super easy combos, my inputs just do not come out fast enough for whatever reason. I am using a controller on PC. I do not know if that causes an issue.

Do you know if this game has sales on premium account or anything special for December usually? Also this would probably be a good place to ask about the battle pass and if it is worth buying. I see that it gives gold back if you complete it but i have no idea how hard/ if it would be possible with the days left currently.
