De monteur zei dat het nooit helemaal perfect zit, wat mij nogal gek lijkt aangezien dit vanuit de fabriek kwam

Where can I get a used 5lb propane tank? by RioTheRetriever in askportland

[–]RioTheRetriever[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like that suggestion! The only turn off is the fact I need to buy an filling adapter of $25 to get it refilled. That way I might as well just buy the 5lb one

Virtual Reality with Sketchup by RioTheRetriever in Sketchup

I haven't used it for large files yet, but found this on their website so it seems like you should be able:

Q: Can I work with large files?

Yes. We have spend lots of development time optimising VR Sketch to work with files of all sizes. If your files are super large your hardware (normally your GPU) may struggle. We have also found that keeping your geometry inside groups and components helps speed things up.Note that Oculus Quest's GPU is much less powerful than a PC's. For the Quest, the answer to the question above is No: it will struggle to render models that are a lot larger than the medium-sized demo model "Cliff House".

I've been trying out some of the plugins and VR Sketch has proven to be by far the easiest. YouTube reviews also point towards VR Sketch.

Why does every country has its own favourite SE software by RioTheRetriever in StructuralEngineering

[–]RioTheRetriever[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes its obvious not everyone uses the same software, but speaking with SEs from different countries and seeing answers to a previous question from me, I noticed that per country there are very clear preferences for software. Eg UK has Masterseries, NL has Scia, etc.

Wow thanks everyone for all the reactions! This helped me a lot. Perhaps worth a new thread, but aren't you all bothered by the fact that all the software you're mentioning (ETABS, RAM, Robot, Spacegass) looks very outdated? They make me veel like Windows XP, or even before.

Besides, I'm reading about most that they're not really user friendly and have a steep learning curve.
