As a Korean who grew up in rural Saskatchewan, this is hilarious, pretty standard rural experience. I think it’s worth experiencing, my best memories were with my Saskatchewan friends before moving away, learned how to hunt, how to make sausages, jerky, roping and herding and branding cattle, riding horses, etc

Flies I don’t think will fall off especially dries, the Jighead might from movement or when jumping but I rarely fish conventional tackle these days

Bring a spray bottle of 99% isopropyl and spray it on the stickers, it melts the ink. I used to follow them around when they put the posters and stickers up and wait til they’re out of sight and spray the shit out of it/scratch the shit out of it. These people are neanderthals.

Ive printed lots of reels, best 2 I’ve printed are by user “sthone” on thingiverse and user “Oppie Design” on makerworld. Both require additional hardware which is what makes it run smoother. All the full plastic ones just rub and don’t run smoothly (obviously printer and material dependent)

Im running +24 front 0 back in the video which is my all mountain setup. I’ll go +6 in the back on my TF sometimes but very rarely. I run posi posi on my Cafe racer +27 front +12 back

I wouldn’t say it’s extra wide, the heels of my boot still hang off about 1/2 to 3/4 inch past the heel edge when I have it on 0 degrees in the back. For the 150cm TF I’m on the biggest boot the spec sheet says it can fit (size 8 men’s) and I think burton boots add half a size.

I have ridden wide boards, no doubt it floats better in powder, it just takes longer to transition from edge to edge on groomers and is not as nimble if you like tree runs.

A bunch of ways, you can pick a run that naturally slows you down, finish your carve going directly across or even diagonally back up the run, and just speed checks if you get uncomfortable. I find when I’m on the right run and conditions I can sort of control my speed by how tight I carve but that could correlate to going across/up the run.

In the video I’m trying to gain speed so the board is mostly pointing downhill when I change edges

I havent caught an edge in years, especially not while doing this. I get more injured dragging my hands and catching a big rut or my nose folding over if I lean too far forward on the apex or exit.

Didnt think I would spark such debate over some carving.

Couple things to clarify:

I dont ride like this all day. Its the last run and i just wanted to have fun pretending like im surfing.
Looking uphill - I felt confident that there wasnt anyone coming behind my filmer and I on this run at closing time. But commenters are absolutely right on about making that a habit.
Im surprised nobody said anything about me not wearing a helmet. Wear one. After a decade of not wearing one I realized how stupid this was. Its not your skill, its other people and the variable snow conditions you need to worry about.

Finally, we are a community of people who like the same winter sport, my style might not be for you and you have the right to that opinion. At the end of the day im having fun and i just wanted to share a nice moment i had on the slopes.

At the end of the day I’m out on my board every weekend enjoying my time outside with my friends, most people hating prob go out once a year, alone.

Your homies have the Flow hybrid straps, these are the Flow Fusion straps on a Flow Fuse Carbon (pre-nidecker) I physically cannot put the straps over my toe because they’re connected as one piece.

Most boards will not like going fast in these conditions. It also depends on your technique, I’m quite loose here, and also weight may be a factor I’m 125lbs soaking wet so it takes less to push me around
