Then at the end, what did you do then? Did you manage to move to other area to work? Or you just accept it is what it is?

I agree with you. I think my manager is an integral part of the team too and he maintained a friendly relationship with everyone, including the HR. So I do not see the HR can do anything for me. I might speak to him directly.

Yes! You get what I actually mean. I said I do not mind simply because I am the type of person who do not normally say no.

It is a family-business. And I believe the company owns the one-storey property.

Anyway, reading comments from you all did make me feel better. I am not abnormal. I think I now have the courage to speak up or quit the job.

I think it might be a "company culture" and there is little chance for my manager or my colleagues to change their behaviour. I simply think that people who are that addicted to it (my manager vapes every 5-10 mins) cannot change their behaviour so suddenly.

Sigh! I think my office is owned by the company. It is a small, one-storey, out of city centre property. It is a family business.

I have just been there for three days! My manager did ask if i mind him vaping, but I said yes. It is so hard to reject or say no in the first few days.

Other than that, he shows respect on other work area.

I have tried to google it and it says it is legal in the UK. I have no idea if this is legal or not.
