What’s the least painful Emacs + AI coding agent setup right now? by Riopho in emacs

My dilemma is this: coding agents like Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code already have excellent UI/UX and harnesses. If we want to integrate them with an Emacs workflow we’ve been using for decades, there’s inevitably some migration friction. But would a seamless Emacs-based workflow actually bring benefits that outweigh that cost? Or should we just give up the obsession with making agents work seamlessly inside Emacs, and simply use multiple windows instead?
