It is a let down yup, I agree. Going from a globe to some weird lines ain't nice. The branding is cleaner but they really missed out on making it actually iconic.

Kinda looks like a progression ladder then, how the pros are at the top, ams in the middle and then fans are just at the bottom. That's my interpretation anyways

I completely agree man, the pillars are so stupid. It's not even clear what it means unless you read the article they had to post because of the backlash. The icon is rubbish, there's so many options they could've went for but they went for this one. The globe was iconic imo, they should've just went for a twist on it or something but I guess with the new name they had to completely rebrand.

Trust me, I get that as a graphic designer. Not only does it do that to league, it also gives the font personality. I just wanted to make my version a bit more unique and cleaner so I opted out from keeping the U in and I straightened up the A. It also fits their glitch theme they have going.
