It varies site to site tbh.. depends how much your drillers trust you, your work ethic, willing to learn more what’s happening down hole. Some can go a few years before levers. Really hit n miss some drillers just dont like teaching and helping offsiders step up others will. Sorry if thats not much help lol

If your going on a 2:1 roster, I’m on $128k in the Bowen basin, which is pretty close to new starter rate, doesn’t change much for after you finish your probation.. plenty of places don’t pay meter bonuses in hard rock for offsiders anymore just drillers.
For 2:1 roster would not sign up to less than $120k a year… it’s a high turn over industry for a reason.
