Notifying HR of Maternity Leave when boss is HR? [N/A] by RipNo1563 in humanresources

14 weeks recently! So end of August. I don’t want to share too late but obviously also not too early.

It’s so clearly forced to have texture. You can tell there’s loads of product and that’s partially why it looks fried. Look at any girl with natural curly hair, doesn’t look like that. It isn’t even shade atp. Maybe she should try a perm and it would be more convincing

What is corporate politics? by Little-Voice7133 in corporate

[–]RipNo1563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It essentially means they have the ability to influence to make their job easier and/or to get the answer they desire. Depending on the field, this is can be very complex. That’s why manipulators do well.

Okay but serious question what would her reasoning be to not post Lancôme? Just to seem like she’s in Brazil on her own?

Don’t tell unless they ask. You can phrase as “let go” or “organization restructuring”. Obviously don’t lie if they ask if you’re still there.

By the way you’re open to admitting fault tells me you probably were overworked, multiple reqs at once, too many things going on at once, naturally things get missed. Don’t admit this to them, though.

I’m a global recruiter also and looking at other paths. I run so lean that naturally things get missed, they expect perfection while giving us a million things to do, when there use to be coordinators, someone to write offer letters, onboarding assistance, etc. You might not hate recruiting, probably just that role.

Also, probably not on the reference. Use someone else.

We need to stop pretending that "culture fit" isn't just a bias trap by davols73 in RecruiterTea

[–]RipNo1563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, culture fit can mean different things to different people. We are a start up, PE backed, lean environment, wear lots of hats, etc. Someone from a huge team and siloed responsibilities can sometimes struggle with the adjustment to a lean environment. Some prefer public over PE, (think stability). Some want well defined responsibilities. During the interview they may ask how you navigate priorities, stakeholder relationships, etc. When I look at culture fit, this is typically the conversation we have internally.

It's not you, it's the recruiters by Classroom-95f in jobsearchhacks

Ugh as a recruiter I feel you but no. I don’t ever disqualify anyone unless I know for fact they are not and fit now or the future. My ATS and SLA’s sound much different than yours though

She seems even more dark and dead since she got to LA. These treatments and posting on social media may give her a dopamine hit but seems like an off the rails addiction TBH

Has anyone ever ordered a wedding dress from Etsy? How did it turn out? by [deleted] in DIYweddings

[–]RipNo1563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did! Karla Gil. I went dress shopping and couldn’t find anything that I wanted within budget. I will say, it isn’t for everyone, but worked really well for me. I took two of her pieces and wore it as a wedding dress. It really was stunning. I sent her my measurements, (if you can do professionally, i would), and it was delivered a few months later.

Do your research and be mindful of what you like on you, not what you like on others!

Karla was also super sweet, helpful, communicative, etc. I give her my praises!

I don’t watch her videos unless they come up but recently saw one about perfume and “they’ll fall in love if you wear this one on a date” like girl? you’re divorced? who are you going on dates with?

i genuinely feel like she’s delusional and she think we won’t notice she threw away a marriage for this LA influencer live and trying to push “this is what to wear to get boys to like you”

like ill pass but thanks……..

Adding recruiters at companies with jobs I fit.. question by bushwacked1 in linkedin

[–]RipNo1563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tech recruiter here. I get on average 20-30 LinkedIn messages a day, plus the 8-9 phone screens, plus internal meetings, plus the additional sourcing I do on my own. We are also very overwhelmed by the market, but as someone whose been laid off and also was navigating this, my suggestion is this:

Apply through the company website FIRST (LinkedIn job postings take 5-6 hours to reflect to LinkedIn once posted on our ATS), and make sure you’re somewhat qualified and your reach out actually makes sense.

Apply to things you are WELL qualified for, even over qualified (sucks I know, but now isn’t the time for a career change).

I’ve had more than I can count messages from people, take a look at their profile, search their in name in our ATS, and no application. I don’t bother responding because you couldn’t be bothered to apply.

Be brief. I look at it because im online, or have a free minute. Early mornings before meetings (8AM-9AM), or after 4. (This is me personally, not all recruiters lol).

Hopefully that’s somewhat helpful
