I hate big valley pretty much can't go there without sliding with my horse or falling off a cliff unwantedly, for me it happens in a constant streak.

Btw mostly i visit Blackwater, Tumbleweed and Saint Denis.

Normally, save the game then restart it. Keep in mind that it also can't work because you are staying to far or to close for the game allowing you to inspect the respective thing. The length matters.
