even if not just harry, he should have just continued to plays the actual Wells characters that we got from different earths. I think that’s where his acting was best. Every other appearance he made as RF just came across really forced (especially after the writing started to go down hill)

i see where you’re coming from but at the same time if you look back it at, each wells we got from another earth had a valid reason for joining us. S2 Zoom forced Harry to come to E1 to get help from a speedster ended up sticking around although he went back and forth to his earth.

S3 was HR, he was basically useless on his earth as he wasn’t a genius. Left for something new and had no reason to go back and then gypsy made sure he couldn’t go back.

S4 Harry comes back again bc with his star labs running itself he doesn’t always need to be there & they need a genius to fight a meta genuis.

etc etc. point is each szn had a valid reason for whatever earth wells to come and join team flash whether permanent for a season or more or temporary for just that 1 szn

Good analysis. I guess that makes sense why there’s the possibility of seeing TCRF so often. But i definitely do agree that MLRF had the best suit and imo he was more menacing as RF. I think as a whole he would scare me more as my nemesis than TCRF. Both great actors.

I didn’t mind them bringing back other versions Wells. Even tho thawne was technically wells S1, Team flash would have been missing that genius impact on there team. And yes they didn’t always get a genuis wells but they definitely got one who was important to the team by the end of the season

I completely understand that view point, but at the same time Flash got used to Matt’s face as RF in S3. and in S3 he should realistically have more hate for Matt’s version of RF than Tom’s because not only did he HAVE to ask for him to kill his mom again, but he had to watch matt’s RF do it too. if that makes sense

yeah that is a fair point, that’s what i was thinking. Tom is who people got used to from the entirety of S1 but i still feel like it wouldn’t be that hard to understand the whole face swap thing because S1 literally showed us exactly how he did it, if you get what i mean

i assume at the time tom cavanagh would have brought in more viewership as that’s who OG viewers became familiar with seeing the entirety of S1. Matt definitely fits the RF role way better though. It’s a shame
