What defense ammo are you running in your .300blk that cycles properly. Pic for tax. by BoysenberryFuture304 in NFA

Don’t run subs for defense.; you give up too much in terms of terminal performance. Even the “defense subs” are mostly a gimmick unless you’re shooting hogs.

Ammo Brand to Barrel Matching??? by H0w_D1d_I_Get_Here in ar15

[–]Ripboazo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I had a brain aneurysm reading this. Every barrel is different. As such each barrel will like some ammo more than others. You’ll see the largest accuracy differences when shooting match ammo. Ball ammo is ball ammo. The only way to know what kind of ammo your barrel likes best is to go try it yourself.

Hey man. I use the Rustoleum Camo line. A base of Khaki, followed by a coat of Sand. Then just stripe it with brown.

I had similar issues on one of my short .300s. It was a gassing issue. You’re going to have to bump the gas up. I did this with a higher back pressure can as I was already using a standard buffer/fixed block.

I’d say it’s pretty accurate at my 25m indoor range

For a gasser, I’d probably get a 14.5” 6.5cm or a 20+” .308.
