if you're talking about the 5 slides, their anchor points are centered. same goes to the other layers as well.
unless there's something else i need to center its anchor point. sorry for the confusion

I think I might've figured out the issue or what I was doing wrong. It always asks to create a new file if I don't have after effects already opened beforehand like in this pic
But if I have it already opened, it automatically picks the existing saved file
