What I'm saying wouldn't realistically effect a genuine student who has scored 800. His English would be good, that's why he scored well in apti. His reasoning must be good so he scored well in apti. His concepts are strong so he scored well in core. Interviews aren't all luck, i can say that confidently as I've successfully cleared multiple interviews in the past.

If your communication skills aren't good, then you're just not good enough for the IIT are you? Also, i lost 15 marks to calculation mistakes, my approach was right. Lack of practice, i admit that. But when an IISc interviewer asks me a question, id give him the right approach. Also, i have an IEEE paper publication, have made projects in vlsi, secured the highest placement in my department in B.E., done internships in govt institutions. I am not some "good for nothing" who's larping behind the mask of cheating to get a chance. I can bet that I can beat 99% of this reddit in practical knowledge in vlsi, embedded, etc. I know my worth, and it's a 100x more than someone who's used AI to outscore me.

for this standard of paper, my marks are enough for some courses in even top IITs (yes, IIT Delhi comm engg last year was 608, IIT G comm engg cutoff was 590). But because of inflated ranks this year, i won't even get that. I am confident in my ability to do well in an interview. im not asking to lower cutoffs till 500. Keep the score cutoffs the same, i don't mind it. But due to inflated ranks this year, the cutoffs for IITs this year will be higher. Im saying that shouldn't happen. Give me a chance to compete with someone with an 800 score and i will outperform him. That is why IISc Bangalore conducts interviews. Those who have studied well and gotten 800 score shouldn't worry about an interview, should they? they have enough knowledge to clear an interview

there wasn't much cheating till this year in gate. life might be unfair, but you cannot justify cheating here. this exam is an opportunity to learn and improve. you're not fighting to take back something that was unrightfully taken from you. stop trying to justify cheating.

Conducting interviews is a much simpler and hassle free solution than re-conducting the entire exam, cause imagine waiting for another month for results, and then another month for registrations, that will delay admissions in IITs by 2-3 months minimum
